I it seems you are confused, WOW is a ultra safe game compared to Eve. another reason why i am here instead of there.

You will find out very quickly that if you make any complaints, talk about what should be changed, or what you don't like, you will have the idiots, halfwits and self abusers spew out the tired old mantra... "Go back to WOW" or possibly "You need to come out of your moms basement"....

hehe hehe

gankers, content creators

hehe good joke, really

one advice to OP - if he is clearly as new as he claims - burst dpsing down a ship that has barely any tools apart from certainity that the guys who are killing him will loose their ships as well IS NOT a content

bumping a freighter to deny it enter a warp in which case he does not even have THAT quarantee is also NOT a content

and hence - however you will put it up - the guys who engage it just for the sake of griefing and or big isk killmail are NOT content CREATORS because what they "create" - even assuming thats the proper word here IS NOT a CONTENT.

even on first few pages of this thread you could see quite a few of examples of actuall high-sec content creators.

and no actuall content creators in high sec are in no way "castrated" from the ability of creating the content

This game is a sandbox. Everything is "content".

Exactly! That's the dirty secret CCP wants us not to see: There are no content creators, it's all just delusion!

If everyone creates content, then everyone does.

This isn't one of those things like say steroids in sports, if everyone does it, then it isn't cheating. If everyone is providing content then we all have more content.

It is not a zero sum game.

Do you even game theory? Didn't think so.

I believe he is talking about 'creating high-sec content' in form of killing unprepared ship. In this case when everybody decides to be 'content creator' there will be no one in unprepared ships for this content to be 'provided'.

CCP create the content. No player creates actual content. We are users not developers.

There are some games like minecraft where devs create content which users use to create content from but there is no analogy similiar functionality in EvE.

I guess that means when CCP talks about players creating content ...
... they're all liars.

The best way to keep a thread from dying, no matter how ridiculous it becomes,
is to put the word "castrate" in the subject line.

When a corporation says something in order to increase its sales by creating an idea (however dubious it might be), then someone who sees themselves as being oh-so-smart starts tossing around that sales pitch as though it's a carved-in-stone fact, one has no choice but to ROFLCOPTER!! Big smile

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Game content is the art, music, environment, npc's, vehicles, and everything else the DEVELOPERS put into the game for players to play with. This is where the term newbie, mid level and end game content came from.

CCP can attempt to redefine the word content as it applies to games so they can spin the Player Create Content sales pitch all they like but it doesn't change the definition of the term.

When CCP introduces something that players can use to create unique player made content they can legitimately claim their players create content. Until then their players simply use the scarce content they put in to create interactions between players, whether its a gank, a gatecamp or a war, it still is not content, its simply activity based on the content CCP provided.

The closest thing to player made content based on EVE are things like EFT, killboards, online casino's but they're not in game so they're NOT actual player made content that one can enjoy in the game, you enjoy them out of the game.

Community interaction is also content.

Thus blowing up ships, wherever it is, is.

Exactly, when one player does something with another player that is also content.

It is not killing unprepared ships, it is killing the foolish, the imprudent, the dumb. Culling the weak from the herd. Undocking in a ship that is slow, cumbersome, and has no guns or other offensive capabilities without a scout, and over loaded with cargo worth several billion ISK...you have just painted a target on your back.

High sec could just be for people running NPC missions and not actually wanting much else from the game.

Perhaps take your content to null where it's needed ?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

What wrong with market trading, manufacture and hauling in highsec?

Why should they be pushed to nullsec because some people want yo run missions alone? There seems to be almost zero justification for that as a concept.
