Why?

Goonswarm is a perfect example, taking up offices in good stations just to have one but they are never used as storage n such

I think new corps should be allowed to have a chance to have these offices

Try to grow up, this is about unused corporation offices in empire. Don't try to start an argument based on your own insecurity okay?

But what I stated is a logical extension of what you proposed - once you start removing offices that are 'unused' (how the hell would you even find out about whether or not that is the case?), it's but a slippery slope down the route I outlined.


Come on, wake up - you're mad that corps who have money (but which may or may not be on a hiatus) are renting offices out of their fat wallets, thereby depriving you of renting said office. What happens if the CEO comes back to the game and finds that the office which (s)he has been paying for has just been wrested out of his/her control, just because a Johnny-come-lately wants it? How would you feel if this happened to you?

The solution isn't a gamebreaking one like you propose, it's much simpler - find another station with free offices.

It not really a good idea but you could make a good ISK sink by having bidding war on office slots.

It would also probably show the current solution as even more meaningfull by having station with open office slots not involve big ISK bidding war. How much is the difference in office cost between Jita 4-4 and a remote location at the ass-end of the galaxy anyway right now?

1. Corps go inactive i.e alts, rent officers in repair/industry stations.
2. Said corps NEVER log in but keep offices.
3. New corps come into game, cant rent an office in said station, have to move miles away even tho they have a ACTIVE HQ there.

You call me poor? I have upwards of 30+ billion ISK. This has nothing to do with cost. It has to do with DEAD 2 man corps who NEVER log in holding offices due to FAT wallets.

It is simply they are dead corps, dead corps should have offices in high level mission stations and production stations revoked to make way for new corps growing.

If you haven't noticed the name of the forum by now, it is 'Features and Ideas Discussion'. You have presented an idea - fair enough, it is your right and you are encouraged to do so in order to try and make the game a better place. Then, other posters came here - in order to discuss your point.

Others and myself have posted possible (quite reasonable and logical) counterpoints to your proposal, and what do we get in return? You screaming and wailing as if your toys have fallen out of your pram. Unbelievable!

The essence of your first post was this:


"Inactive corps with no activity but fat wallets are renting offices. I would like an office for my corp, but I can't get it because these inactive losers are still paying for it. Let's make CCP enforce the fact that, after a period of inactivity, they and their contents get booted out of the office so that someone else may rent it."

Granted, it is unlikely, but it does set a precedent - one which EVE as a whole will probably be worse off for.


What's the problem with finding another NPC station to hire an office from? Admittedly, it might not be at the most inconvenient location of your choosing, but you'd still be able to get an office. And besides, how would you feel if you took a break, only to return a year or so later to find that you'd lost all of your carefully organised and role-applied hangars, only because there is an arbitrary limit as to how long you may rent one whilst inactive? I know that I'd be rather annoyed, and I did indeed come back from a three-year hiatus recently.

Exactly this. Yes, we have hundreds of offices. No, nobody who doesn't have director roles is going to know how much those offices are used. I suspect the answer is that most of them are, in fact, used for something or other. You don't know anything about the offices you're crying about.

People not responding to your eve mails doesn't mean they're inactive corps, it just means they don't want to talk to you.
