So i currently have 3 accounts, this one: Logi pilot with good drone skills enough to rat, Alt #2 is my freighter guy, and orca booster for the miners in my corp, and Alt #3 is my salvager....

Alt #3 is only few weeks old, trained basic skills on him and salvager skills, so he could pick the trash from my ratter, but i'm at the point where i don't really need to train for salvager anymore... so i'm just trying to figure out what to do with alt #3 (still have 5 months left of sub)

All 3 characters are in nullsec, im the type of guy who doesnt care about kills or being just another dps on the fleet.. I like more support roles... So im brainstorming on what to do with him... the 1st thing that came to my mind was exploration? but just trying to get some other suggestions...

Rat, logi in small/mid sized fleets and mining fleet (orca boost).... But i use ishtar for ratting so afk, and orca boost afk as well... Looking for something to do solo while i afk other 2

my answer to that has always been train combat skills. that said now I have 3 combat pilots with so much overlap I typically only use one at a time. so maybe not the best answer in the long run.

My first question is what path are the other two characters on? Logi is a great path to be on, but how far can you go with it? same thing with the freighter/orca pilot. There are a ton of support skills and stuff to do with those though. Salvage is much more limited.

my other two specialties outside of combat are trade skills, and production/research skills. It is very nice to be able to trade a bunch of items, and lower your taxes/fees. buying with buy orders saves a bit of money, and if you need to sell stuff it is much nicer paying less tax. And with ratting/building/exploring/mining it is pretty likely you will end up selling stuff pretty often.

For production: it is a very quick train to be able to get 10 research or build slots. Laboratory operation 5 and advanced lab op 4, or mass production 5 advanced mass production 4. Personally I have ~60 research slots and ~40 build slots, most of the research slots were picked up when CCP gave us free MCT days. and only one character is really specialized in building/researching, I can do invention and t2 production. A while back CCP changed it so a lot of the advanced industry skills speed up your job speed, rather than doing things like reducing material use. so his jobs finish faster too which can be a nice bonus especially on some of the longer research projects.

exploration is good to have too. but I'm pretty much an exploration newb. I can't advise much on that. most of what I have done is combat sites, and then recently did a few data/relic sites. Scanning skills are very nice to have, and with lv4 skills you can be pretty good in not a lot of time. as for the archaeology and hacking skills, I'm not super impressed by that content, but a few levels in either plus a bonused ship and you should be able to do most content. with a cov ops and and t2 hacker/analyzer I can pretty easily roll over most sites. The nullsec sites are tougher than the highsec ones and I think most of what has slowed me down was just reading what things do and learning how to hack the sites.

This is exactly the reason why my Jita trading alt now also has perfect (all V) scanning skills.
Not that I use them often stationside Jita IV-4, but hey...

There's always the tried and true AFK cloaker.

On a related note, what happened to all the whining about AFK cloakers? Just other stuff to whine about now or did something change that I missed?

Train it into something useful (scanning, trading, etc) and move that character to another account. Having an NPC hauler on an account can be incredibly useful, for another idea

3 accounts x 3 characters is potentially 54 lowsec PI planets.

That is a lot of passive ISK per month if you can be bothered mucking about with PI.

I should probably figure out how that works
