It is an absurd notion. Every little carebear would use it until no one attacked. This is worse than simply asking that all aggressive actions against other players in High Sec be disabled.

And then I said too that the target could have his own I-NPC ready to released him on the spot. I gave a pretty detailed explanation, why are you asking things already covered in it? What?

And before you say "but then everybody would NPC"... No. People still don't do what is needed to be safer from PvP. I-NPCs would be the same.

At the end of all this, the above quote reveals the underlying motivation behind the idea. There will always be people who want someone or something else to shoulder a burden that is actually their own responsibility, it's a part of their world view.

Earlier in this thread I describe several ways in which I have personally used NPCs as tools to protect myself from PVPrs. I didn't invent those ways, i learned them from others. My favorite is using warp core stabs to bypass the scramming rats in the 1st rooms of the guristas 10/10, turning the guristas into Guards for my carebering lol.

The originator of the "iNPC" BS idea has never once lifted a finger to try to do any of these things but rather spends a lot of time asking CCP to do it for him. It's not unlike how the people who complain loudest about dropping CPU numbers are too busy asking CCP for game changes rather than spending that time training and recruiting new players to the game. It's just the way they are, using existing tools 1st before asking for new stuff is just not how they think,.

There's nothing wrong with using existing mechanics to your advantage, I'm guilty of deliberately popping triggers and dropping Elite Cruiser spawns and the like on people who enter whatever deadspace I'm plundering at the time.

Asking for additional mechanics that are overly complicated, ill conceived and pretty much valueless is what I object to.

Caps and supers need a review, yup. It's not dumb to talk about, but I wouldn't bother in this thread. I know you are trying to keep this discussion going but your suggestions are a little off-topic and will probably just get buried. Have a look here and write something up perhaps? I always hoped Valkyrie would tie into deployable fighters but sounds like it's not viable at the moment. Last time I saw devs commenting on repurposing supers they mentioned making them ongrid boosters. The super pilots I've spoken to seem receptive to the idea, some are training leadership skills on them now just in case.
