Words of this "iyammarrok" are covered with blood of innocents, his kin are slaughtering and covering it up. He is not better than those, who pull detonator triggers in penal colonies.

But we know what they are doing, and we will come for them!

None of our governments are innocent. None of them are free of corruption. None of them are shining examples of the principles and convictions that they are supposedly built upon.

If any of us actually believe they are, then I have a very nice photo album of my wedding to Empress Jamyl Sarum I that I would like to sell you.

We don't support our respective governments because they're innocent. We don't stand in their defense and argue on their behalf because they're beacons of morality, ethics and principles.

We do so because, even with all of their faults, sins, wickedness, failures, corruption and deceit, we find the ideals they are built upon, the societies they foster and/or the people they harbor to be of greater value.

This doesn't absolve them of their crimes, alleviate them of their responsibilities or justify their sins...but it does give us something to hold to, something to fight for and something to kill for. Perhaps the dream of what our governments could be is a powerful force that drives us, compels us, to strive ever toward it with conviction and dedication or perhaps it is so fragile that a whisper would shatter it and so we must defend it from all attacks and act in its stead to protect it from itself.

I offer no excuses nor justifications for the existence of these camps. Their existence simultaneously makes me sick and angry but I also know they are only one of the many monsters hiding in the Federation's closet. What is truly beyond acceptability is that this already disgusting situation would then be twisted further, even to the point of inflicting greater suffering on the already wronged occupants, for politicizing and warmongering without regard to the consequence or the source. That is inexcusable.

I am quoting this in its entirety because it needs to be read by all those looking at this thread. What Liam has said is truth in every sense of the word. Its an argument that fanatics have no counter to, one that they try to ignore. But I say that when the fanatics spout crap repost this post so they have no way to respond.

Let's let this thread die with the wise words spoken here today.

"Life is as a storm, one must be prepared for the hardship and scorn. But with in this is a light, one for which we must fight. For hope is our weapon and our dreams are our shield. When fully armed we can not be felled from the field."

Yes, remember the call to reason but also... remember the camps.

And remember that everything the Federation stands for is lessened by their mere existence.

There are things we could talk about that would do the same to the state, but it gets us no where. How about we focus on fixing our selves and not pointing fingers at others? Who here is with out fault that gives them the right to point out fault in others? This isn't going to help us, it never has and never will.

Great Maker - how hard is it to get you people to admit that illegal concentration camps, called 'death camps' by some, are an unequivocably bad thing?

Them being a bad thing does not eliminate all other bad things. Them being a bad thing doesn't make the Federation irredeemably and completely morally corrupt forever. It doesn't obviate every argument against the State. Why does there have to be a but? Just accept that the camps are terrible and ought not to exist and that, as citizens of a democracy it rests upon YOU to force your government to do something about them.

And then, you know, continue to do and say things about the OTHER stuff too. It's allowed.

Why are you even trying, gallentean?!

My name is James....

I am trying my dear because I have determined you are worthy of the effort.

I watched your struggle during our conversations.

A struggle with hate, fear and a life time of self-deluding fabrications, that for a fleeting glimmer of time you conquered.

If you claim that the fact that gallenteans blow up penal colonies with Caldari prisoners of war is a fabrication, you are a cold-hearted monster, one of the worst kinds that our universe can born!

Oh, I am a monster my dear to be sure, just not a cold hearted one.

Search yourself, you do the cause for which you claim to fight more harm than I ever will.

Monsters indeed.

I will wait, when you are ready…

So when you and yours want things changed in the state you just yell at the corporations and they comply immediately? I don't think its that easy or quick in the state and its not that easy or fast in the federation either. Change takes time, sometimes it takes longer then we may like but the fact is steps are being taken.

Please, enlighten me to the last noticeable change you made with in the state and how long it took. I am curious as to how fast things happen in your government.
