  • Can a player have more than one mobile depot deployed at a time? (Assuming all the range-restrictions are followed.)
  • Can one use the refitting ability to change ships?
  • When a mobile depot enters reinforced mode, does scooping it up and re-deploying it reset this? Or does one have to wait the full 48-hours before using the refit feature?
  • How often do the sites in a particular wormhole reset?
  • Are attributes really that useful? It seems like optimizing for a particular plan saves a few days at most (and that is if said plan is 100+ days).

Thanks to anyone who can answer these; I'm having a difficult time finding answers w/ other resources.

  • Yes
  • You don't need a mobile depot, just eject from one, and board the other (not recommended, someone can take the other ship)
  • Just scoop it to reset
  • Dunno
  • Yes, but they are talking about removing them, not sure where that is in the process beyond talking about it. You can see the effects of the attributes if you use a program called Evemon

- Yes.
- You do not need to mobile depot for this. Just right click the capacitor HUD and "Leave Ship"
(NOTE: you cannot store a ship in a mobile depot and anyone can jump into your empty ship and fly off with it)
- You can scoop it up anytime.
- It is one of those things where it does not really affect "short skills" and/or you will not see any real benefits unless you are looking some 60-90 days ahead of time.
(NOTE: if you are still unsure about attributes, do not play with them. Like implants they can have longterm ramifications that may not be easy to undo... unless you simply don't give a flying ****, in which case carry on!)

Ah. Thanks for your responses everyone.

One more question: Are the sites in a WH always the same? That is, if I come to a WH the next day, will it have the same number of Data and Archaeology sites, for example?

They're tied together in regions like the k-space sites, with the twist being that you can't really tell what the "regions" are.

Generally assuming that there will overall be the same general site distribution in a system after refreshes is a decent first approximation, though, rolling with that will probably be close enough from your perspective as a nomad.

There isn't a set duration on wormhole sites. When you finish a site, another one pops up somewhere in the region. They can kinda pile up in abandoned holes, but as they're run more will appear in your hole.

If the above is incorrect, I really hope someone can set me straight, but thats the assumption I've been operating under for a long time now.

There's this complaint in the WH forum about how people
initiate warp to sites without going there
and how it starts a despawning timer.

  • You train at your total primary attribute points plus half of your total secondary attribute points per minute. That means each primary attribute point gains you 60 skill points per hour or 1440 per day or 432,000 skill points per month. Secondary attribute points are worth half that. Currently 2700 skill points per hour is the maximum that one can train at. Evemon can help you with a lot of the more specific questions related to your skill queue on this. You can make skill plans and add in remapping and implants etc... to see how it affect the skill plan.

Yes but not really and not sure why you would want to.

A corp mate and myself were able to kill the 2 BSs from a C5 gas site in 2 RR domis. So that tells me that you could probably have done that site in a carrier solo. The biggest C6 sites however you can not solo even in a cap ship and maybe even especially in a cap ship since you get extra / tougher spawns when you have caps on grid.

Eve is not a solo game and if you are trying to solo wormhole content especially higher end wormhole content that's kind of missing the point of playing an MMO.

But then again sometimes in MMOs someone like me says something is impossible and then RnK comes by and does it.

    Excellent, thanks.

    Who's RnK?

Also, does the accuracy of one's weapon depend on how face you and the target are moving?

This is rather common practice in large groups. Open static, initiate warp to all the sites, in a few days one of those may spawn in your own home (where you can more easily use capitals).

Gunnery and tracking is one of the biggest things you need know and understand for Eve combat. It would serve you well to learn it even if you only fly missile boats. Do some google searching and reading but Eve Uni has a lot of good info on it and there is a flash based tutorial out there as well as several videos, blog and tutorials out there.

Awesome videos. The "Pipebomb" is hilarious, and the tracking one was very well done (and I hate watching YouTube videos instead of just reading a guide).

Is there an integrated stopwatch feature somewhere?
Can I change the client's soundtrack? (I did read this was removed a few years back, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was re-implemented.)

    - Nope no integrated stopwatch.
    - Also nope I'm afraid, they removed the jukebox a while back. You can turn the Eve music down in the escape menu without affecting environmental sounds and just use a 3rd party media player for tunes.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Is there a most common damage type for suicide gankers? Least common?

It's going to be whatever damage type the ship is bonused for, first, e.g. if it's a Gallente boat then you're talking kinetic/thermal.

If it's a boat where the ammo type can be selected without loss of bonus (e.g. most minmatar high-alpha boats), then the meta-game is pretty simple, they're going to be set up for the resist hole in whatever they're hunting. So if they're going after shield-tanked miners they'll likely use EM, etc.

Nothing's stopping them from working out that you've filled your resist hole and bringing something different, though, obviously. This is why generally people that don't want to lay a lot on their intuition just omni-tank, or fill the most obvious hole and leave it.
