SCYLLA - General Issues

I de-installed all my eve related stuff and installed the new stuff with the eve offline content. All worked fine. Now i wanted to sell some items on the marked but he allways asks me that i should confirm that i want to sell x item to the buy order, its really weird. I just want to sell my items on the market. I didnt had something like this before.

Other question, i thought, with downloading the full content via the offline packages, there is no need for the game to download more data?! I noticed this little loading thing on the bottom left.

Dear CCP,

Just to confirm, with download on demand, are the bandwidth expectations for playing Eve changed? I've played on and off for the last 5 years using a 3Mbps connection..I realize that is slow and I'll eventually upgrade to 30Mbps+ but for the time being, should the game play as normal or do I need to change a setting (disable download on demand?).

I guess I should have bug reported the logi's in that burner i tested not dropping wrecks on sisi. I just figured it was a burner feature. My bad.

When I press 'Play' in launcher it takes few seconds and then evefile appears as a background process. After few seconds it moves to active application however as soon as this happens it says 'Not responding' and I'm unable to do anything. Any solutions?

Were the first issues resolved by downloading all resources?
For the fps issues: Could you please send a bug report through the client (F12 - "Report Bug") - maybe we find something in your logs. Please also include screenshots and as much info as possible.

Not sure if this has been noticed, but its been freaking me out a little all morning. The Daredevil is now showing a Minmatar backdrop (the red one) instead of the correct Gallente one (Green)

If this was intended then its a very poor change as the back ground is used around the player base as a way to gauge what sensor type the ship uses, and in this case would be off.

Hope this is checked and fixed soon.

I have weired "hangs". Small framedrops that were fixed on sisi and the menu items in the neocom (standard menu and folder menus) collapse randomly. I open them move the mose in the new "area" and the menu just closes 2 of 5 times.

I have no idea why, but it seems like the launcher failed to update itself and is still using the old version.

It didn't work. I have still offline mode. Launcher looks exactly the same, I have no options to work with, reapir tool did not work either.

Hmmm. there was a new launcher version - try to install this one directly: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871481.exe

Could you please upload another launcher log, from it starting with the latest launcher version? It seems like the previous logs were old logs.
Could you please also check if something might be limiting your internet connectivity like firewall, antivirus or proxy?

I have the same. Downloading all resources did not help.

Add. Just open Notification Feed and fps drop from 100 to 60 and get back to 100.

I have unpinned the launcher, and downloaded the new launcher multiple times now, still not working, also cant reinstall eve as well

The launcher opened a window, but it was rather small, and though it had scroll bars, neither of them worked. My only option was to click OKAY to continue, as I couldn't read much of anything.

Also the launcher NEVER restarts when it says it will. I always have to launch it a second time, after verifying it is dead in the task manager.

So, salvaging is hosed as a profession until you get around to fixing that, in other words.
I don't suppose CCP has a plan in place to make good on this deficiency?

It seems like the resource loading indicator for Download on Demand is causing slight framerate dips - and it also causes the neocom menu to close if it appears or disappears (as it seems to reload most of the Neocom). This will be looked into more tomorrow.

NEW "SCYLLA" ISSUES:

- UI GLITCH: PLANETARY CUSTOMS: Sometimes clicking "TRANSFER" in a Customs Office window will SOMETIMES CLOSE the window immediately, forcing you to re-open it to grab your freshly transferred Planetary Items.

- UI GLITCH: PLANETARY CUSTOMS: Conversely, a Customs Office window will REMAIN OPEN no matter how far away from that planet you travel to within that system.

- GRAPHICS BUG: SHIELDS EFFECT: Shielding effects on a nearby ship are not seen. This was noticed while in a fleet. Testing was by "Look At" fellow fleeted ship, though their shields were on (and viewable from their client perspective), the ship looks defenseless from another person/client.

- NEOCOM ICON "REMAINS FLASHING" GLITCH: MAIL: This "glitch" does not happen all the time. However: Oddly, sometimes even after reading all possible unread mail and notifications and after closing the "Mail" window entirely, in random cases the button persists to flash in the Neocom. It can take several attempts of re-opening/closing this window before it will stop. Another solution: Undock.


EXISTING ISSUES STILL PRESENT IN "SCYLLA":

- NOT WORKING: CORPORATE "DRAG/DROP" SELLING: "Drag items to add to sale" selling STILL does NOT function when attempting to drag items to sell from a corporate hangar. Only way to sell multiple items is to select them all, then sell, or right-click and select "sell" to force the client to add that item to existing open selling window. This has been an unresolved issue since the roll-out of the new selling window option(s) were implement in 2014.

- NEOCOM ICONS "TRANSLUCENT" COMPARED TO OPEN UI WINDOWS: The Neocom panel is unable to be made as opaque as UI windows in client which also match only the Neocom's top "E" (EVE) symbol, avatar pic, training timeline graphic and bottom clock areas (which are all equally & darkly opaque). PROBLEM: Hard to distinguish icons from bright/luminously intensive graphics in background. THEME SETUP: Using "Carbon" theme with TRANSPARENCY=0. The icons are difficult enough to distinguish, but especially in a Caldari station with bright/reflective backgrounds or in space near a bright star and/or bright gas and/or spacial anomaly "underneath" the Neocom.

- NEOCOM ICON "NOT FLASHING" GLITCH: CONTRACTS: The "Contracts" icon in the Neocom does not flash when a new contract has been issued to you UNTIL "Contracts" icon is actually clicked. Seems pointless to be notified "after the fact".

- UI COLUMN LINE "GLITCH?": PERSONAL ASSETS WINDOW: When open, the locations of the systems/stations full titles overlap all the background "column lines": Vertical lines that separate (Name, Quantity, Group, Size, Slot and Volume).

- UI CONTEXT LISTING: SCIENCE/INDUSTRY UI: Manufacturing jobs do not "update themselves" when jobs are delivered. Instead, they remain in the list as "faded" lines of delivered jobs information. There is no "refresh" button to clear the list. One must close the Industry window, then reopen it to clear all "delivered" (faded) jobs.

- NEOCOM ICON GROUPING ISSUE: "Grouping" Neocom icons is still not a function that is working as intended (from descriptions in previous patch notes). EXAMPLE: If I create a "TOOLS" group, I cannot "drag" an icon from the Neocom to it, especially when the "TOOLS" group folder I created is only accessible by a small arrow symbol just above the Neocom's clock. Conversely, I cannot right-click on any Neocom icon and (for this example) "Add to TOOLS group"

- UI FUNCTIONALITY: WINDOW CORNERS/BORDERS: The window corners visually do not always "line up" next to each other. On some instances, when windows do line up next to each other, the 1 pixel line merges adjacently, forming a more visible 2 pixel line. But when they do not merge, you can see the background between a 1-2 pixel gap, even though the client insists your windows are "snapped next to each other". This is highly visible when a bright sun or anomaly is in your view.

- OVERLOOKED? REPROCESSING PLANT UI: The "Reprocessing Plant" UI window has no "x" or option to simply close the window. Nor does it close itself when refinement is completed and delivered to personal hangar. The only way to close the "Reprocessing Plant" UI is to click "CANCEL" which seems odd to cancel and already completed task (and window). Unsure if this was intended...?

Please move it back to top left corner. Maybe change the look to indicate that the client is downloading data or accessing cache. Something like this. I know it's the position of the session change timer. Maybe prioritize it so if there is a session change, the session change is shown, if not and there's download going on, show download icon.

Other issue:
Contracts still don't remember the last filter setting for names.
Different windows (hangar/dscan) in the same position (one in station, one in space) still cause the "new" window to appear offset while docking/undocking.

Switching between stacked chat windows also causes fps drops and short freezes of the space/hangar view. Especially the freezes appear to be longer when I switch to a chat that has many (new) chat posts.

Windows 8.1, client in window mode (not fixed window).
