Importing the quickbar is impossible, as far as I know. CPP keeps it in some binary file with unknown format. The last time I used Mentat (about 6 months ago) I didn't work there either.

I also checked the favorite list and it seems to work fine. Are you sure you have data imported for the item in selected region/system/station?

Thank you for your quick answer,

Granted, the quickbar import from mentat was a very erratic feature and from update to update it was a horrible new hassle to get it running.

The favorite window works, it must have been some problem on my side.

What I meant with the missing feature in the market browser can be seen in this screenshot from Mentat:

Here I can select multiple specific Regions/Systems/Stations and see them compared in one window. In Evernus currently I can't do this, a major inconvenience. It would be great if you could add this feature.

It should come in the next version.

Looks like a great program if I could get it to work. Almost everything has no price data.

  • I'm right in the middle of Caldari space
  • I have exported market data logs from EVE into Evernus
  • I have imported prices from web

Basic items like Nocxium have "No Price Data"

Help?

Another thing I just noticed and another feature that is presend in Mentat but missing here:

Under preferences -> paths I can only specify one path for the client. In Mentat I could specify multiple paths, which makes sense for player using several copies of the client. Mentat would have searched every path sequentially for exported market data etc.

Sorry for double posting.

I can't seem to get the Margin tool to import orders. I specified the path of the folder where the market orders are safed with the Export function in preferences -> paths, but with the Margin tool open after I export the orders, nothing happens. No error message, nothing. What could be the problem here?

Have you tried switching the import method in the preferences?

I did, with custom path and specified market log path both, still nothing happens.

Windows 8.1 64bit, if that helps.

Just to be sure - restart the application and see if it works. If not, go to the specified directory and make sure the logs are really created and that they match the file name wildcard in the preferences.

I rebooted my system, still nothing.

Specified folder name: "O:/Users/[User]/Documents/EVE/logs/Marketlogs"

Character order wildcard: "My Orders-*.txt"

The market logs are safed correctly in the folder I specified named for example "My Orders-2015.01.18 1254.txt"

I tried the several data sources in the margin tool "Data source" tab, still nothing gets imported into the margin tool, nor do I get an error message of any sort :(

No error means that the specified directory is being watched for changes and logs should be getting parsed. Would you mind me sending you a version with more verbose logging, so we could investigate the issue?

I sent you a mail. Edit: Now I understand what you meant, yes you can send me a new version, I wouldn't mind at all!

As I am exploring evernus, I come up with new questions (sorry!):

In the market browser, if I import prices from web (crest?) it seems not to update prices for the stations I have selected and despite taking considerable time for the import, saving item prices in the end. I can't seem to get behind the logic where these updated orders show up.

One example: The item "Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher" has up to date sell and buy order entries for Jita 4-4, when I select from the menu to the left another station, say the main hub in Dodixie, no entries show up. Hitting the "import prices from web" button while having this station selected, starts a lenghty query, importing over 9000 orders (literally, sorry again!). After the pop up window tells me that everything got saved correctly, no orders are visible.
This is the case for every item I tried to get prices for this way.

Importing from the Market Browser can be a bit unintuitive. To save A LOT of requests, it only refreshes data for what you already have there. Actually, looking at what station is selected seems to be a good idea.

That makes sense. It maybe would also be a good addition to allow updates only for specific items, say if I want to have up to date prices for jita 4-4 on "Sisters Expanded Probe Launchers", I right click on the item and select import from web in a drop down menu, only querying for this item in that specific station. Eve Mentat had this option and it was a real time saver.

You can do that now via the Market Analysis tab - just select what to import and from which regions. Just remember to uncheck "don't save" and you should have the data in the browser. Note: saving orders takes a lot of time. I once imported all the market data with history from Sinq Laison and saving it took over 20mins (on a dying HDD, but still long).

Yes thanks a lot, I embarissingly tried to import the data from the Orders tab in the Wallet window, not from the market view...

This works well, thanks for pointing me to that feature. The detailed statistics and item price histories for each item are wonderful and something I tried to implement (briefly) with the release of the CREST system, and failed.

However, as with the market browser, it would be great to be able to have a side by side comparison to see in which region/system/station out of a selection a specific item is the cheapest/most expensive.

Now, if I want to compare prices between Amarr, Jita and Rens for example for said Sisters Expanded Probe Launchers, I have to select from a drop down menu containing every Region and System in the game, making it very tiresome to decide where to ship or buy an item with my traders via Evernus. It would be awesome to be able to save bookmarked regions/systems/station, just like in the market window.

The import of prices for whole item categories in different regions simultanously is great, however evernus doesn't seem to allow me to save a once made selection, which would force me to go through the menus every time I want updated prices on the items I am looking out for. If there were a feature to save selections for future use (maybe multiple bookmarks?) together with a way to compare multiple regions/stations/systems side by side, this tool would be perfect and anything I as a multi account trader could wish for.

Yes in my character orders. My Assets tab also shows no data in the form of everything being 0 ISK. Thanks

Are you sure there are other competing orders? By that I mean sell orders in the same station or buy orders with the range spanning this station.

Yes when I go into the Regional Market for Hedbergite there are 11 buy orders and 11 sell orders, but in Evernus my sell order for Hedbergite shows up as 'No Price Data'. They are both in the same station.

Exporting market data from EVE into Evernus does hot help, even when it's exported while showing Hedbergite.
