So what happens if we feel the CSM does not represent us?

I'd get angry at the CSM if they actually did something that affects my gameplay.

This must mean there's some sort of greater goon conspiracy, right? Because, God forbid, Goons might have opinions on where they'd like the game to go.

Apologies for quoting this buddy guy, but so you can I'm responding to you. I don't believe there is some goon conspiracy. I think Mittens has his priority and it isn't the same as what he is selling to the community in order to gain support. Not sure that constitutes a conspiracy, more a case of manipulation. As to me hating on Mittens, not true, got a good deal of respect for the guy, he clearly has some skill.

If he wanted support without suspicion though he wouldn't post things like the following (just kidding, not gonna quote again) about how he is playing a political game against his enemies to get their strengths nerfed by applying pressure on ccp. Also, why would all you goons be posting "Winter is coming" whenever supercaps were mentioned unless either:

a> he has broken an nda and told all you dudes that supercaps WILL be getting nerfed in the winter expansion.
b> he wants you all to repeat it ad infinitum until the winter expansion does contain a supercap nerf. Weak ccp.
c> the goons have finally gotten off their arses and got together a half decent supercap fleet of their own and are going to actually try an invasion/fighting without relying on nerf's. Which would be awesome.

It sounds like you really do care about the game, as I do. Like I say, I'd like ccp to do "something" for flying in space in the winter expansion, but I'd also like them to send a message out by stating that any supercap rebalances will occur in spring/some other time to make it clear that they are listening and acting, but goons don't tell them precisely how to run their company.

I'd also like that "something" to be more significant than going into the database and tweaking some stats.

But then, I suppose if the above happened, there would just be a "Spring is coming" meme dug up from somewhere..

I have no idea what you're trying to say here, but it doesn't seem too important.

Otherwise, your list of options is missing the very obvious d>none of the above

The Title almost seems like a statement not a question, as the CSM seems to represent only it's members, not the Eve Community.
Were they anything more than a publicity stunt and actually had any substance, I might be concerned, however that is not the case.

The only thing I see them do besides squabble in the forums is to serve as an instrument that CCP can use to cloud issues instead of dealing with them.

Those "members" are part of the Eve Community, and the ones who cared enough to get CSM members elected. Apparently the rest of the Eve Community doesn't care enough to bother with the CSM.
