The issue with being forced to wait until the next election is that it may be too late. The bad press surrounding both Mittens and the ENTIRE CSM 6 is causing more people to leave the group than CCP could do by nerfing Hi-Sec.

fortunately for us the voting system is so heavily rigged in our favor and against the idiot masses that there's nothing you can do

however, if enough idiot mass candidates pop up maybe things will change :ohdear:

Hmm yes. Bad press is causing subscriber problems and not the condition of the game. Heck just the other day I read a critical article about eve while flying around space and stopped in my tracks exclaiming "Well I didn't know people didn't like aspects of this game and feel strongly about it , this changes EVERYTHING! I must cancel my subscription right away!"

I also had a monocle in my eye before I read that article. You can see the result now, not a single monocle. It popped out!

No. An engaged effective CSM working with CCP to fix the aspects of the game driving users away get people wanting to play the game. Drivel like this just trolls bad posters (you).

OK, will stop trolling to reply to this. I'd love to see a single example of a person that left the game because of what the CSM did or didn't do and not what CCP did or didn't do. What we do may not be visible to everyone, but we do work extremely hard to represent *everyone* not just the people that voted for us. None of us want the game to fail, and we have put a ton of time and effort into preventing that. Just like with RL, you may disagree with us, and just like in RL, you will have to wait until the next election to change things.

Well given that the Goons seem to be able to troll freely, but it is nice to see a goon admit theres a problem, even if it IS in a backhanded trolling way

Cant say I agree to you guys blackmailing CCP and really giving them no choice in the matter. They HAVE to ignore you now. You DO know that right? Unsubbing only gives your position power. However, if CCP give in to what you want, whats to stop you from doing it again the next time something you dont like happens? Thats a pretty slippery slope there guys.
Its like negotiating with terrorists. You do it once, you set a precedence. A dangerous precedence that will have reprecussions from then forward.

Goons; infiltration at its best - first bob... now ccp itself. They dont realize you guys dot take this as "just a game". Bring it down guys, we're rooting for you.

As someone who has been present during meetings with the CSM and CCP Devs during summits, I can tell you that each CSM have been extremely passionate about the direction of EVE, supplying ideas for how they see the game can be improved through player feedback and generally being a positive influence in representing players. Each meeting has been extremely productive and spirited in terms of discussion and feedback.

The only people who can affect the CSM and how they represent you is you. If you feel that they are not meeting your expectations then canvass candidates in the next election who you feel will better represent you. yes, there are voting blocks around who will try and ensure that their candidates get in but there are hundreds of thousands of you guys so it is up to you to make the change, if you feel that is the right way to go.

On a final note, I have never experienced any CSM member canvassing CCP for their own agenda. They have been forthright and solid in asking for changes which benefit the many rather than the few.

I am very sorry to say CCP Navigator that at the moment most people will take anything CCP say with a pinch of salt.

Especially consdiering the on going issue with the Emergancy Meeting Minutes still not being published.

Also whilst you may state that the CSM are supplying ideas on how the game can be improved thought player feedback, recently it seem the only area of the game they want improved is the area they care about, i.e null sec, and to hell with majority of the other players.

Most of the candidates seem to care about nothing but nullsec.

This. This is the problem with the CSM system.

P.S. The CSMs trolling in this thread are also part of the problem. They apparently lack R&R.

Respect & Results.

If you want to be taken seriously, and respected for your work as a CSM, don't troll like a douche. Hell, don't be a douche.

Then i suggest you vote for someone that has a) a more rounded view or b) a special interest group that focuses on the areas you wish to change or add to.

This is of course at next election time.

Current CSM will try to give a overall view but like most elected reps, they will focus on a parituclar area of there interest. personally you get what you voted for. or not as the case may be.
