Dear Warfare and Tactics

I am saddened to tell you that Iron Oxide have dropped from the TLF. It has become apparent that we cannot hope to hold Huola and so we are bowing out from the fight. We may well come back to the TLF at some point but for now we will be going pirate. Friendly entities are invited to arrange blues.

Thanks to everyone we have fought alongside and well done to the Amarr. I hope you will appreciate that without tz presence after LNA left and the Periphery went we were kind of screwed. Added to which however we have faced a competent foe who has brought a few decent fights along the way. No bitterness on our side there.

We're pretty tired right now and will be looking to spend time with our families during this difficult period. I hope you will respect our privacy on this matter.

Much love

Should Houla fall, it will feel a bit hollow with the absence of a fight from the main players that have left.

...and there I was thinking you would make it to 1000 days (see Dotlan).

Once again I feel it is necessary to point out that the tier bonuses continue to be unbalanced and excessive. The resulting effect meaning large numbers flip flop militias to the winning side and make it harder for the lower tier faction to keep up with contest for complexes.

Tier 1 s/b 100%
Tier 4 s/b no more than 140%

It's a shame to see Fe0 leave as well, sincere apologies if us leaving hastened that :(

FW was a great run for the last 5 years, but the meta has been changing slowly all the while and frig-on-frig PvP didn't secure strategic objectives, at least not for RIFT. I fondly recall to noob recruits a time when BS brawls on gates were "a thing" in FW low-sec. A time when hotdropping wasn't prevalent and we could actually use our own capitals. Needless to say, hotdropping, especially in this warzone, among other things, really reduced things to just frig-on-frig.

Looking to bring back some of the old fun :)

On behalf of Imperial Outlaws. I hereby accept the surrender of Iron Oxide.

Please contact Shalee Lianne to arrange reparation payments for the damage you've done in your struggle for "freedom", preferably paid in slaves.

I want to take the moment to ask Ice Fire Warriors, The Periphery, Smile 'n' Wave and the Minmatar Militia to consider an official surrender post as well, just so we can get the paperwork done.

Edit: AMARR VICTOR!

Good Hunting to you, FeO.

I'm sure with such an awesome collection of pilots and competence, you'll raise hell where ever you decide to go.

Nobody surrendered. Including Fe0.

The meta is simply changing, and flying around in frigates is not only extremely boredom-inducing, but doesn't accomplish anything.

Enjoy your T4 Amarrs, we're already farming up that LP \o/

Agreed. It is good that members of militias with the current upperhand make posts like this. I feel the same way sitting in the presently on top Galmil. The FW tier system needs some more tweaking.

That and more attention has to be paid to faction ship balancing again. I'm sure the desire to supply the NApoc demand is helping the Amarr militia attract farmers with the in-game tier 4 benefit as it is.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

i don't get it why people bail from fun due to having such a great fear of losing. We went for huola last time as we where at tier 1 with very bad odds and 0 preparations. We haven't even started now and the opponents are bailing.

very disappointed.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

That's a bit disingenuous on all counts to be fair and I can only speak personally but orbiting a button 23/7 isn't fun, nor are grindfests in T1 frigs that rinse/repeat.

I'll shortly be publishing a novel who's main protagonist is a London-based "consulting detective" whose powers of logical reasoning would deduce from your statement that; you're disappointed that you've been deprived of your type of fun. Unfortunately my sub is selfish and is only concerned with mine, sorry about that.

Yeh, we'll be staying around.

@Bienator - Sorry! We had big bout of soul searching as Kourmonen crumbled. But it was apparent to us that even if we could muster a decent response in our peak hours we were leaving about 20 hours of uncontested plexing. As it is we can't get more than 20 active pilots in a fleet on a week night so even that point is moot. It is literally only our alliance who are left to defend the system with a couple of helping hands whereas the Amarr have a reasonable coalition and Death by Design on standby. We'll still try and kill you wherever possible if that makes you feel any better?

The last truely epic fleet fight we had was in sisede where it escalted into alot of capitals... anyone else remember that??

Anyways since then it's been a bunch of fire crackrs that fizzled out... most notable was ESZUR, but they left fw and walked away with out a fight..

everyone in FW... im calling you ALL pussies (Amarr is included equally as amarr in this)

man the f**k up, fly with out ecm, fly with out logistics!

remember the old BC roams... no tackle, no ecm, no logi -- just goo simple cheap fun!

too bad people care so much about their KB stats

Nearly 3 years ago lol.
Part 1
Part 2

Its a bit of a shame, cant say im up to date with what the amarr are fielding but TZ discrepancies are probably the hardest thing to fight against.

Last fight I had in FW was against tiktok and a couple others in their linked/boosted thingies. Savesti was there as well in her vexor. Lost 2 (or 3?) ships overall, but it was fun and Savesti was a generous soul. All the best to FeO. Solar winds at your back, mates!

Good hunting,

Xavi

They're slow old dogs now, which to be fair lends itself to a one way roam with a pod express home.

Xmas is coming up, joint BC op?
