EVE HQ is absolutely AMAZING in the so many things it can do, and it does so much better IMO when compared to other tools currently available.

Thank you for all those involved in the project!

i've tried to run an test sql query (with my absolutely crap sql skills) in the database query tool but I keep on getting a "Unable to retrieve data! Please check you have the correct database selected and that your SQL query is properly formatted."

I'd think that the query tool automatically refers to the static data that come WITH EveHQ or perhaps my query is rubbish (which is more than likely.)

SELECT *
FROM [dbo].[invTypes]
WHERE typeID=645 (which I think is the Dominix)
GO

What am I doing wrong? (Please keep the abuse to a minimum...:-) )

Thanks all.

EveHQ no longer uses a database to store the Eve static data, these are held in pre-built cache files for quicker access, rather than loading data via SQL and building the data at runtime. The SQL query tool is now only used to query the custom database, which is primarily used for Prism, requisition and market data.

I don't think there's a lot wrong with your query, it's just that the static database is no longer there!

If you want to see what tables you can query, run this SQL:

SELECT name FROM sqlite_master WHERE type='table';

Assuming you want to access and query the static data, you will need to restore the CCP Static Data Export (available from here). You will need SQL Server 2012 (the free Express Edition works perfectly) and possibly a conversion tool to rebuild the full database from the associated SQLite and YAML files. Hopefully that makes some sense but if not, I'd be happy to try and help further.

Thanks Drailen.

I drafted a post last night on my ipad but the webbrowser crashed, lost everything I wrote and did not have the heart to write it all over again.

I feel that way with the new format of the dbase available. It used to be that, even a noob like me, could download it, restore it in SQL Server 20xx and fiddle with it, as much as one's skills allowed (in my case not much.)

Now even to get the dbase to the point of being ready to fiddle with it is a damn project. I spent a few hours yesterday trying to figure out why I could not restore the Oceanus db ("damn, why doesn't the .bak file restore?"), tried the conversion kit but kept on getting errors and felt really disheartened after a point.

I'll touch base with desmond and maybe he can send me an idiot's guide of what parameters are to be used where in the conversion kit's config file to import all external data back into an MSSQL DB.

I appreciate your help. Wish I had more technical skills, even though all the frustration I feel brings back memories of when I wrote VB code for kicks twenty years ago. :-)

I may have missed it, but I didn't see any link to the survey the OP has put up.

He has created a survey about the future of EveHQ here: http://newedentech.com/forum/index.php?topic=14.0

And is offering the chance to win a PLEX if you go fill out the survey! So go fill it out :)

I have just checked the latest version of EveHQ and this implant is currently included and bonuses appear to be applied correctly. It is a slot 8 implant.

If it's still not showing up, please post on the EveHQ forums providing a screenshot of the available slot 8 implants.

I've updated the issue tracker but all previous issues should still be retained.

It's a bit later than expected (due to RL issues) but EveHQ 2.14.0 (Phoebe) is now available.

Various links are provided in the initial post.

Hi & thanks for all the work !

However, I've a problem with my Anti Virus protection (avast) which said to me that evehq.settingsconverter.exe is infected !

Is it a false positive ?

Cordially.

It would appear that it is a false positive. The same issue was reported earlier today but I've run several scans and everything seems to be ok with that file.

Hahaha. So we (EVEMon) are not the only ones getting falsely flagged as virus infected.

Sorry if this has been already mentioned but I've noticed a couple issues with EVE HQ:

1. I downloaded and installed version 2.14.0 and the ship fitting tool isn't updated to the Interceptor changes from Oceanus. Maybe I'm just missing an update.

2. When I change the theme to Metro, it causes a catastrophic launch failure causing me to uninstall and delete the folders on C: , my documents, and in app data. Once I reinstall EVE HQ works fine again. I can provide the error codes by in game mail if needed.

3. EVE HQ doesn't launch maximized in Windows properly anymore. When I minimize then maximize, it causes a cloned background.

Thank you for taking the time to take over EVE HQ and bringing it back. It is by far the best EVE third party program and hope development continues.

1. Some people have had the same issue and have stated that a reboot seems to sort the issue. I don't know why this happens as the data files shipped with 2.14.0 are updated right up to Phoebe.

2. This is a known issue due to the 3rd party control library using the same enum value for the Metro and Office2013 themes - see the post at (http://newedentech.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0 for a workaround without having to reinstall, but best avoid the Metro theme for now until I can get hold of the updated library.

3. Not sure what you mean by this, do you have a screenshot you can show?

1. By reboot, you mean the computer or client?

3. I apologize up front for the screenshots, I have a triple monitor setup. You will have to zoom in to see the client opened.
