No, it's going to simultaneously

-do nothing,
-change everything,
-but chang only what people don't want it to
-but wont change anything that people do want it to.

I love it. I can't wait for these changes to hit. And whatever else they have in the development pipeline.

6 months after things will really start to get interesting.

Indeed, I won't be quitting but not having to "think" about subbing 7 capital and 15 cyno alts will be nice.
More time for pvp, no need to grind isk.

I play eve to relax and have some mindless fun with the odd thought about logistics. Take the mindless fun away you take away my reason to play.

This guys just out for some casual convenient mindless fun with his 75 accounts.

Jeez CCP, why do you hate him so much?

Bio or it didn't happen.

I quit eve every month, but I don't cry about it.

Yeah, quitting in EvE is the new Black.

It's the only activity that comes close to EvE dying.

I would like to see changes in the capital force projection; but not like this.
It's too sweeping, too draconian and just too much altogether.

Slow down, CCP.

I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over.

I'm not really sure if you grasp the changes yourself.

But I do agree, 6 months from now people crying for nerf will be different than this round.

Faction war already sucked, but this is going to make the FW area hotdrop frequency a lot higher as blops and other ships are moved to where they are still fun and effective.

Seriously - did anyone put five minutes of thought into this? Anyone actually playing the game, I mean?

You think PL's focus is going to be living in amamake? PRO

You don't know a thing about FW.

As PL already knows, most of FW exists in a meta detached from non-FW. There are encounters on the gates, but non-fw entities do not run down timers, so usually anything that was going to happen in a site between intra-FW groups does, but the best an outside entity can hope for is to 3rd party it. Otherwise they just avoid the fight entirely.

When things get heated in fw space, PL and anyone else is always welcome to the yard. It's always a blast. More pew for the pew gods.

I've spent years on and off in that exact space and you have no clue what you're talking about.

There are two types of people in the Eve world.

Those that want to bury eve, and those that do the digging.

I'll dig my own hole thank you very much CCP. Don't dig it for me.

Oh, one more thing. If capitals are able to take jump gates, are they now able to take deadspace gates?
Believe me, if you make that change, I will be all over incursions in my carriers.

Many will claim to know what will happen. No one does with any certainty until it's tried. You can point out the pieces but it's impossible to know how they'll all interact.

It's a change from now. A drastic one. This will be good for the game and the business.

NULL IS ALREADY DEAD
Get that through your head.

No one cares about it,
no one flies in it.
Any change is good change.

Power projection permeates all game activity now. Everywhere. Pew pvp and market pvp.

The game is growing more stale by the day.
Concurrent player count is evidence of this.
Even the 'movers and shakers' admit most their people don't even log in unless pinged (and then for some hotdrop)

I anticipate no one will be crying except those that are rather pissed so many other people have decided to log in an play. Presenting them with challenges they'd rather not face.

The same ones that are crying today.

[t is something CCP should consider though...we play this game to have fun. Here, you do the math...you are your alliances Logistics Guy™. You have to move 10,000,000 m3 out to your space. You have a JF. You have two JF alts, you can swap the JF at a mid point and you have two cyno alts and each jump is 4 LY. How much extra time will fatigue impose on you assuming you wait for fatigue to go down to 0 after each jump?

Give me a ball park number on how many extra hours it would take to get that job done...then tell me what you think the fun factor would be?

You say to your alliance directors: "Give me more JF pilots and the players to fly them, or give me an escort through gates X Y and Z, or build the big stuff local. Otherwise we fall, cuz ain't no way in hell I'm doing this all on my own."

If you're smart, that is.

Which I'm betting is what CCP is kinda going for. More pilots in space to do things the current way, increased local industry, or PvPers in combat ships keeping the lanes clear for JFs to move through to shorten the jump distances needed.

EDIT:

To your question about regional interdependence and the impact these changes will have, CCP has previously stated that they don't want any particular region to be able to do everything without getting stuff to and from other areas of space. If your lift capacity is limited - by pilots, time, geography, jump fatigue, whatever - you make damn sure that every single m3 you're importing CANNOT be sourced locally. And you make sure that stuff is in the smallest form factor you can get it in.

That could mean importing X amount of goo to run alchemy / reactions locally with, because the additional cost / inconvenience of running another few towers in your home system using local topes is less than the additional lift capacity needed to import the raw goo. Maybe it means bringing in components instead of raw goo, and exporting intermediate reaction products instead of raw goo.

In short, move up the value chain by using more local labor to produce smaller form factor goods for export, and import similar form factor goods. Your logistical lift capacity needs will decrease, turning that 10mil m3/month or whatever into something more manageable.

It's ridiculous how dumb most of you are.

"What if supers roam?" THE ****???

"Skill points I'm crying over about!!!" Stuff happens, move and adapt.

"PL this BL that CFC turdcake!" Good! Dissolve the coalitions.

POWER PROJECTION YOU FOOLS! It's to control power projection. No-one cares about your tears, about your complaints. null is a dead fish fight for 10 systems a year. Boring, uneventful... Lack of power projection means smaller sov space. THINK FOR ONCE and stop complaining. GIVE INPUT and complain less. And if you do give input, THINK about it before posting. This cry thread is getting old quick with different people crying over the same issue. We know, you're all concerned about the micro scale of things and are completely blind to the macro effects because of your tears.

No idea if this specifically has been mentioned, or if it will even be seen by Dev's at this point, but…

Shouldn't hubcap industrials also have a bonus to jump fatigue similar to JF's when it comes to using jump bridges?

This would have no real strategic implications and instead would encourage JB's as logistical networks within a groups space and encourage local industry.

I bet they don't, and if they do they're nuts and someone is going to leap onto that opportunity to fill the vacuum.

Their business will certainly change. But the vast majority of their business, which comes from areas within 5-10 ly of highsec, will not.

Any change is good change.
Well that's wrong for a start. Null has thousands of players in it every single day. Look at Dotlans September stats and you can clearly see that. People's problem is that they fly a cloaky tengu through 10 null systems, don;t find any easy kills and start saying "null is dead!"

Power project ins AN issue, but it's not THE issue. People want to plonk down a flag and claim some space with their 3 mates then cry when they get roflstomped by a thousand players. That's not going to change because power projection is nerfed, wherever you decide to set up shop, I guarantee that a bigger null group will come and kick over your sandcastle just because they can. The only difference this will make is that large null groups on opposite sides of the universe won't fight each other and can spend more time jumping up and down on the heads of the local smaller alliances.

It's amusing to me that people like yourself - with seemingly no idea how nullsec works - think that null groups will be weakend by this and that it will stop null stagnating. It will have quite the opposite effect. Null groups will be stronger while anyone trying to attack them locally will have considerable logistics issues. The only real threats null coalitions had - each other - will be entirely unable to mount full scale attacks on each other.

Oh, where on the dev blog did it state that black frog were unaffected by this change? They've already stated in their thread that the likelihood is that they will only be able to service the border NPC null regions, and that prices and times for delivery will be considerably up. The good news is that there will likely be some cheap JF pilots going, so us major null coalitions can buy a bunch of extras on the cheap to spread out our fatigue.
