I really like the name! Couple things are wrong in that op raven fit. I use normal 800 cap boosters and 5 expanded cargoholds in low when landing to the site. Also I have just one signal amp and pdu in cargohold. If you could fix it would be nice, thanks.

There needs to be talk of the most efficient way to run C4's now that RR has been "fixed" in the way that the testes of a dog are fixed.

The method BUGRY and allies SWIFT use in C4's was PYFAnatically worked out by yours truly over a bottle of whisky. Scortch single malt, from the Isles. The bituminous peaty undertones really are quite nice.

I considered various things, including RR Domis, which realistically are a pain the the arse and armour fit don't pump out enough deeeeeeeps.

Given we are a social bunch of nerds and there are more than one of us, I worked on a gang size of 5 to 6, so lets just say 6.

The way to do it is 4 x Cruise Phoon, 2 x ironclad Guardians. Boosts (armour) optional, depends if you've got a toon and account to spare. Nice, but we do without.

You field 4300 DPS including sentries, or about 3200 just from cruise. You are packing 8 TP's (though you could drop 2 for webs given the limit on effective EWAR modules as being six per target), so with Precisions you can in fact apply your main weapon system to frigates. You also have a flight of light drones each and Guardian drones.

You land, wait a few seconds or the Guardians to burn ahead of you, MJD on top of the Sleepers, and blap them. You repeat for each wave, with practise your Guardians fly in a vector to anticipate your MJD jumps. Your phoons project DPS to 114km with cruises and 84km with Sentry.

This is super-efficient for groups of the right size. More than, eg, Eos/Oni and Abso/Guard gangs or any other.

Enough to require refitting a solo Kronos to blasters for the 3RR BS wave of Command Post, but not more.

What is everyones practice with marauders like the vagur doing solo c5 sites. i have tired my vargur with a fit used by many to do garrisons solo.. but after the patch i had a moment where in bastion mode i dropped down to low armor in a c5 gas site.... idk if being 4k had something to do with it.

Anyone have any unique marauder fits for c5, and or play styles to go through the sites.

I don't have much experience with marauders but I don't think the Vargur is a very good PVE boat. I'd recommend using the paladin if you're able. I can't help you much beyond that tho.

I can see the palidin being effective due its weapons range up to 100k. How ever aginst sleepers, I find the neuting of c5 un settling upon the palidin, but I can admit not activly playing consistant refit game like the single dreads escalation. Ill move to a dread when I gain an understanding inthe video did certian things like warp 60 k up etc.

There's no reason to not play the constant refit game. It allows you to do so much and doesn't cost you anything except the space to carry mobile depots in cargo. Big smile

Solo C5 sites Paladin, this is adapted from a corp mail I did. So I apologize in advance, and flame away.

Part 1

I've played around on SiSi for a while after watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH0uBAEPPTY
After a few marauder losses (5 or so) I found the best were the golem and paladin, you don't need to MJD/warp around to apply DPS. I had better paladin skills and went from there. After SiSi tried it on TQ. I lost my first TQ paladin to triggering 2 garrison waves, 2nd loss was due forgetting a CCC rig on the refit. 3rd loss was talking to a friend on TS while not watching my scout, Russians got me ... RIP R&D mark III ;_;7

I average about 200mil in loot from a C5 garrison or stronghold. I run between 35-45min per site. I have maruaders V (needed) with a lot of support skills to V - including controlled bursts to V which is also good for moro's pilots = worth it.

Good WH's for Paladin
No effect
Mag's(more dps, less lock range)
Red Giants (smartbomb range bonus, overheat bonus)
Wolf-Rayets (armor hp bonus, less sig radius)

Bad WH's for Paladin
Cataclysmic (less local rep)
Black Hole (extra speed, less turrent optimal - is possible with sensor booster)
Pulsar (less armor resists, more cap) are very bad to run sites in (with a paladin)

Fitting:

* Strongholds and Garrisons - if you can run these you can run all the C5 anoms. Watch the triggers, dscan, sigs, and scouts.

Use Conflag 1000dps upto 30km, use scorch for everything beyond that. Imperial Navy Multifreq is for crusiers orbiting at 15km due to extra tracking (t2 ammo has a tracking penalty). Standard crystals are for 1) sometimes crystals break out of sequence, you'll need to reload a different crystal set before it will let you reload the broken crystals and 2) saves you cap if you're having a lot of issues, however if you're using standard, you're not ready - skill wise - to run sites with a laser boat yet.

Expect to refit the 3 utility highs, at least 2 mids, and the t2 heat sink out in the low from time to time.
Note as you get more comfortable with the sites you can refit more lows for more gank/tank to make them run faster. I noticed the biggest speed factor is timing when frigs die, this definitely speeds up the sites.

this in my head: http://puu.sh/bNcdO/95ccfe272c.jpg (UPDATE: you can use a lot less in your head just depends on your skills/risk level)
I only have this to tank the high DPS, last wave of Strongholds. Not required for any of the other sites and you don't need this head if you have links. Remember to stagger NOS and your reps, e.g. wait till the first rep is half cycle then hit the second rep so the reps land staggered.

this in my hold: http://puu.sh/bN9FD/7424682b16.jpg (UPDATE: I also fit a capacitor booster and charges, also some specific resists if pvp happens, also remote reps for the MTU & MD)
I use 2 or more mobile depots because mistakes happen and I have smartbombed them to death a few times. Tractor unit (named Devoter in image) can be faction or cheap, up-to-you. remember time is money. I guess the flipside is: money is money - my magpie cost 300mil

Explinamacationism:
MJD = GTFO, but also if pvp happens it's not a bad thing to have on hand.
scram/point = if pvp happens
web = if pvp happens, trust me you going to need all the tracking help you can get with large turrets
battery (large peroxide) = anti pvp neuts, with NOS on a geddon you'll cap him out fast (tested) - BTW without cap you die!
probe launcher & probes = scanny things that need scanning, you know, when you get rolled out.
100mn = nice to have, just in case you need more mass, or need to get closer or pvp?? = options.
ECM = GTFO, can use on pointing rats also options in pvp
DAMAGE CONTROL! = swap out the T2 heat sink for a damage control if you're taking on too much damage, if pvp, fit this right away!
Drugs = I use for solo strongholds (high dps final wave), but not needed if you have links or even friends.
Tracking Computer = swap cap recharges for more tracking on cruisers waves, occasionally i use optimal range on conflag to hit out to 44km.
Tracking Enhancer = I swap out the heat sink for a tracking enhancer if having poor hits, or if I'm in boss-mode I drop a ENAM for one.
Capacitor Power Relay = life savers! swap with the t2 heatsink, you should already be 4x cap rechagers in the mid. Fit if you're going below 20% (i hovered at 18% sometimes, but that's very sketchy, you should be above this). Note peak recharge rate is about 25% you don't want to be too far below this.
salvager II = you need the t2 one or its not worth it, just take blue loots from the tractor and noctis/befriend a t2 salvager with mouth hugs
Nanite = no explanation needed.
hull rep = ...
nanite + hull rep: BOSS F***ING MODE, that's all you need to know!

Part 2

Core Garrison
Initial Wave: sentries, frigs, cruisers (trigger)
[High]
1x Salvager II, 2x IN EMP L Smartbombs in the utils.
[Mid]
1x TC 3x cap rechargers (or 2x TC, 2x CR in boss mode)
[Low]
no change

  1. have 1x rep running, load tracking speed script and activate TC
  2. lock up the sentries & crusiers on land while waiting for bounce etc, then activate bastion/boss mode.
  3. murder the sentries, look at frig distance, once less than 7.5km, start running both smartbombs
  4. once sentries dead, switch to IN multifreq and shoot crusiers
  5. once frigs dead, stop smartbombs, drop MTU and MD
  6. swap smartbombs for 2x NOS in highs, swap a cap recharger for second TC if not already fit, load tracking script and activate, swap ENAM or the T2 Heat Sink for a tracking enhancer in the low (optional)
  7. start locking wrecks and start salvaging as you murder crusiers
  8. on the last cruiser, deactivate TC's and swap mids to 4x cap recharges, swap the tracking enhancer out for the mod you replaced it with, should have 3x heat sinks, 2x ENAMs, 2x reppers (if your scared and not BOSS MODE activated, you can swap the t2 heat sink for a damage control, good idea on your first run through)

2nd wave: frigs (trigger), battleships

NB: I always have NOS to begin with to remind myself not to forget which wave im on and SB the trigger. 6 BS neuts = death if you were wondering.

  1. lock battleships first, load conflag, stagger the 2nd rep, start shooting the first BS, stagger NOS on the 2nd BS
  2. panic, then handle it.
  3. continue to salvage as you grind the sleepers in the face, once down to 1x BS deactivate a rep and both NOS.
  4. swap NOS to smartbombs, scoop loots, MTU & MD, once the last BS is half or when you can gauge it, start smartbombing the firgs, look a few to see how fast they diying - hint they are a little hardier than the first frig wave, I cycle the first SB a little earlier to see how they go and deactivate if there's still to much hp on the last BS.
  5. as the frigs die (and BS has already dead), decycle the SB's and drop the MTU & MD again.

3rd wave: cruisers, battleships (trigger)

  1. stagger 2nd rep, lock the battleships first, still using conflag, start the grind as the MD comes online
  2. swap SB's for NOS and stagger them on the 2nd BS
  3. (optional) I kill the 3 keeper cruisers after the 1st BS to keep the salvager feed - and not sure if their RR makes anything slower vOv
  4. after 2nd BS dead, swap cap recharger to 1x TC, 1x NOS to 2nd salvager, 1x ENAM to tracking enhancer. change ammo to IN multifreq and murder cruisers, deactivate 1 repper
  5. once cruisers dead, swap last NOS to smartbomb, tracking enhancer back to ENAM, ammo to conflag, and murder last BS, keep TC on - pull MTU & MD

last wave: frigs, cruisers, battleship (random trigger of pvp from time to time)

  1. stagger 2nd repper, lock cruisers first (optional), load scorch until they're in range, then IN ENAM
  2. check MTU & MD is up, then start smartbombing, while salvaging wrecks in range
  3. after cruisers, switch back to scorch and kill BS
  4. once frigs dead, drop MTU & MD, salvage as you go
  5. (optional) fit for pvp/travel if last site
  6. once on the last BS, deactivate 1 rep and switch to the original 2 SB's 1 salvager for the next site, scoop loots, MTU, and MD

Garrison's neutralize your cap more than the others IMO and so run a similar game for the rest of the anom's at least. The strongholds have a lot of DPS in the last wave so watch out for that, damage control still gets used until 1 BS dies for me at least. The other 2 anom's are much easier.

Finally, use eve survival for anom triggers: http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=WormholespaceClass5
ignore the escalation waves and start at the inital wave and murder NPC's in order, take note of which NPC's scram, it might mean you can warp out of the site half done, especially if you need too.

FAQ:
Q: Can my dank ISK making paladin run sites alongside capital fleets?
A: I understand that peoples experiences of PVE in higher class boss-mode-space varies from none to can-we-try-going-into-structure-this-time, but let me explain how it works. Capitals spawn super NPC rats that do about 5000dps per wave. A wave spawns for each capital we warp in, up to 6 waves (carriers spawn 2 waves independent of the dreads) Its massive DPS! Your dank ISK making T2 Battleship can only tank about 3000dps. Sorry but any cap that warps in while you’re doing a site is going to get you popped.
Q: B-b-but sub-capitals ... they live, right?
A: Loki's have a cruiser 120m sig with tech 2 resists. They should be moving and have capital armor reps on them constantly, when primaried they go from no armor to full armor with the carrier reps on them. Your battleship needs to be in Bastion Mode which reduces you to 0 m/s, while your sig is 400m in size with about as much buffer as a tanky cruiser, but a lot less repping than carrier remote reps. Also support ships providing webs for the dreads to murder the hardest of NPC’s. Dreads do 10000000000 dps and therefore muchly, much more dank than the dankiest of t2 battleships.
Q: My probably-out-of-date EFT said that officer hull tanking mods should work even with my s**t-lord-f**k-wit skills .... why did i still die?
A: Actually running sites is the only experience you'll have for fits working. It's not a on-paper thing. Sorry, but did you have a bookmark for that wreck? If in doubt try it on SISI.
Q: Why synth drugs why are you such a pussy?
A: fair point, but I know I'm never going to get a negative bender like that time with your ****
(NB: edited irrelevant butvery funny corp Q&A)

edit: Split into parts

UPDATE: Stronghold RR final wave very hard to do with out 800+dps, kill the warden cruisers first (RR) and then the 2 keeper BS's

As a side note, running solo marauder has made me a lot more comfortable in capitals, refitting on the go is awesome, even if your that f1 dread warrior, swaping out mods mid fight is brilliant and should be practiced by all.

Hi,
What kind of matar ship should i used to farm C3 in solo on my Matar char ?
The Mael still a good idea ? (i've seen a fit for C3 solo on this forum : http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/65341-Wormhole-C3-Solo-Maelstrom-10-Mins-per-site.html )

Idk Maelstrom would probably work ASB fit, but then you gotta deal with cap booster. Otherwise you'd most likely have to be highly skilled or shiny fit. I used a machariel+tengu combo for blitzing c3 sites. Matari aren't that great for pve stuff unfortunately...

The change I'd make if using Krono's would be to warp at range from the spatial rift (garrison) so you can use that to warp to 40km on the last wave to be on top of the BS's. To be honest C5 Krono's was really slow for me in testing. It struggles to hit anything at range, also doesn't respond well under a lot of neuts, but I didn't die on SiSi in testing so there's that.

Let us know how you get on.

It will still work, but probably find it faster to swap to highs out mid site (mobile debot) for faction smartbombs to kill frigates. RR is stronger now. Try it and see how it goes?
