We'll see how it would end up.

Null tears a logistics freakouts... there was life in 0.0 before jump bridges and jump freighters and titan bridges.
I remember the freighter convoy fleets...... and it was fun.
We'll adapt as we did so many times before. It would be harder, but it would me much much more fun than it is today.

That was then, freighter convoys simply won't work today.

Forgive me but, isn't the whole point of these changes to reduce the blue blob?

No place in eve is more than 6 or 7 jumps from Empire. If you're too dumb to probe a chain, you don't deserve nullspace.

We have for years. You honestly think we of all people cannot keep ourselves entertained while we travel given our record for spending 10+ hours torching towers in bombers and hellcamping stations for week at a time?

I think Baltec has hit the nail on its head, for the cfc this will be adapted to quite easily, the really smart high ups will already be working on ways to adapt and I have never seen a Goon fleet shy away from a fight.

Yes you may have capitals in system ready but without the ability to escalate and batphone extra capitals and supers the cfc subcap fleets will wreck things while having a blast on mumble things are about to get interesting.

What thing will it wreck precisely, the rats in the anomalies? Or all of the sudden you're going to start a war here, oh you ...

Good changes all across the board! Big smile

Only issue I have with the current changes is logistics. From what I remember from my days of nullsec shenanigans, I feel that the work of nullsec logistics is hard enough without having to penalize them with a limitation on JF range. Or was this change intentional to keep production in-house?

Its not us that will have issues with this its the smaller alliances/corps that we are wanting to come out to null when CCP gets around to removing all of our dead systems. The outer sections of null space will wind up abandoned.

Still **** you CCP and CSM.

I'll whole heartedly accept this change if you remove captains quarters and the NEX. Or bring walking in stations. Clearly the NEX idn't bringing in enough IRL ISK or you wouldn't be making a change so we have to train capital alts.

Just one final change needed the removal of local and everything will be as BOB intended.

Question.

How do you supply a small alliance on the outer edge of null with these changes to JF?

Supply with what?

Everything from ammo and minerals to battleships. They aren't going to do very well if you starve them of supplies.

So the only option is to buy ammo, minerals and battleships from Jita and JF them to null?

Ok.

Unless they introduce mineral alchemy, your non-Jita options consist of mining in empire or using a different market hub. All of which require jump freighters.

No one is taking a standard freighter from empire to Outer Passage unless there's an outpost egg inside, so don't even pretend that's an option.

As someone who been building, selling and delivering caps to clients. These changes would be a major pain. Would it be possible to allow caps free travel through high sec with offensive abilities disabled while in high sec? As they will be allowed gate to gate travel in low/null anyways.

To avoid have people camp low sec side of a gate for so bail back to high sec with caps. Just make combat timers for caps much longer for the sake of be allowed jump back to high sec.

At this point his cooldown timer is 2 hours 2 minutes 8 seconds, and his fatigue is 706.74. At this point his total distance travelled is 17.51 LY, leaving him with 37.04 LY to go. He looks at his map, and finds a 40-route jump through nullsec to get to the same destination, and figuring two minutes per system, his warp travel time for the whole journey is a bit over half the cooldown for his next jump. He decides to fly there directly rather than trying to jump any further."

I love how you got so bored, in the what 10 mins it took writing this example of hours worth of cool downs, that they quit half way. I completely understand how you would hate to spend any longer doing something that does not bring you joy such as writing this example or idk station spinning waiting for a poorly (wanted to use different words but my wife convinced me otherwise) conceived cool down timers.

Back in 2006 or 2007 when warp to zero bookmarks were getting to be a problem and CCP decided to do something about "it" I figured out that I am not paying my subscription to watch gate getting slowly closer. That bullet missed me with the warp to zero ofc.

So i'll see how this thing turns out. But I am not going to pay my sub for watching a gate getting slowly closer, or even worse, marveling at the new cloak animation waiting for a cool-down to run out for the next 6h and 37 minutes. I'm not going to outright quit in emo fit over these announced changes although I will drop about three covert cyno accounts for a start as I will not be needing these.

At the same time I'm not convinced that these changes really remove power projection in effective manner. We'll see.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

This is like the ignorance version of whack-a-mole. Nullsec is all but missing a couple minerals found in pretty much everything you would ever want to build. Importing is the only option.

You see, in EVE, resources are distributed regionally. This requires trade. Trade which is becoming impossible.

I wonder what is going to be nerfed when we take The Forge. Lol
The change was needed, but this is just a spit in the face to people who invested into training the big things. Jump distance nerf, ok whatever, but that fatique... what is the logic in that ? Anyone can jump 200 gates in a row, but suddenly a carrier jump makes you fatiqued ? Based on what ? Isotope radiation poisoning ? Bad food ? Space getting thicker ?

You guys really need to set up guidelines for space physics and hold on to them.

Why not, because it won't be able to keep the status quo? That's the point!

Btw, I love how all the 0.0 sock puppet alts are whining like mad atm, this thread is a day old and close to 140 pages. It's hilarious.

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

Not even we have enough members to mine the minerals needed locally and you cant get things like faction ammo and the large amounts of named mods out here.

Then we have the fact that near all of high secs T2 mats are imported from null.
