i thought ccp was over this lets do this half ass thing and and the 4th guy on page 3 will love it. the backlash from this will be worst than incarna. or that internal letter leak. this will destroy eve.

1. titan pilots unsub
2. super pilots unsub
3. half of 0.0 unsubs
4.eve looses about 25% of its monthly income
5. eve instead of loosing Devs to other companys in droves starts having to lay people off
6. they try to fix massive screw up with some sort of buff.
7. doesnt hack it game dies.

i have been a player for 9 years and if this goes through i wont be the only one leaving.

I personally believe that some nullsecs are unable to do so (use gates) because some pilots out there in our nullsec don't even have maps and I believe that our education like such as in Goonswarm and the Pandemic Legon and will the PL now even live in Amamake? like such as, and, I believe that they should now move to nullsec impermanently, our jump navigation systems over here should help the others and should help them find fights overall and we will be able to build up our future for our future clone children and enjoy better wars for all time.

So for that I am going to +1 this idea for the betterement of eve online.

Except, the big fish will just install a capital fleet in every region, ready to use whenever they need it, the large coalitions/alliances have enough capital (hah, punn) to simply put 500 dreads and carriers in every single low/sec/npc null in eve.

the "smaller fish" won't afford that, so they will still be hell-camped.

Seriously, this change will 100% kill the T2 market, without a doubt. There is no way to actually have t2 goo produced locally, and without local production, things either wont happen, or they'll happen at massively inflated rates.

In nerfing force projection, CCP's killed the economy, great job. Couldn't have made a better way to do it myself.

What about all that moon goo in low sec?

What about Syndicate space which is 1 jump from high sec in pf-346.

Your arguement is invalid.

Do you have any idea how much of the goo comes out of deep sov 0.0 regions?

Yes, it will be possible for groups to mine and export R8/32 moongoo in lowsec and some NPC 0.0 regions, but the supply of R8/32 goo is so much larger that it's completely absurd to say that an argument about regionally distributed resources, which are KEY to T2 production (ever heard of carbides) wont be affected in a major way.

Fact is, with resources being diverse, requiring a central location to acquire them, it is completely stupid to think that by making the journey to actually buy/sell these resources harder, you wont increase the costs dramatically.

Honestly, is this the best you can do to enrich the game? If seems like an attempt to nerf certain alliances like PL from assisting other players, and vastly increase cruiser camps which will hamper movement even more than it is now.

Since I fly around in a cruiser I am trying to be unbiased , but honestly I am sure you could have something else to enrich the game, if null sec has become stagnant then why not make it more exciting and lucrative to go there, rather than WH? R8-64 are not balanced in the universe and will be not easily transported and therefore increase in prices, which will mean only those isk rich will benefit, private contractors who run jump freighters will also have increases costs and risks and will have to pass those on. Instead there will be far more gate camps in low sec exits into hisec and less people travelling in and out of NULL, So all I see will be an increase in low sec and an even more stagnant null, with increased costs and less fun.

probably the worse idea ever too date - definitely a big -1 from me

please reconsider and ADD FUN

Awesome changes. The most powerful ships are no longer the most mobile ones and large powerblocs have to reconsider where they place their forces as they just can't teleport to blob everything anymore.

Will certainly allow smaller groups to field capital ships without being blobbed to death by a superfleet.

Looks like WH people got the last laugh this year. Twisted

While I am in dreddit now, I spent a significant portion of my time in this game playing by myself or with a small group of friends, so this is the perspective I am writing this post from. (In dreddit's current state, I am pretty much playing the same way anyway). Nerfing the way carriers move around this game will make it impossible for solo players or small group players to move to npc null or even certain parts of low sec. With a 5 ly jump range, it will be impossible for pretty much anyone to get into npc null that doesn't already own the surrounding sov. To get into npc fountain, you will have to go through cfc space (ya, good luck) or to get into stain you will have to go through catch or providence (again....pretty much good luck).

While I understand that the current state of 0.0 is causing a detriment to the game, this will have a much more negative impact on the game. Nobody is going to wait 2 hours in a station for their jump timer to end, they will likely just get frustrated and unsubscribe.

It would be significantly more reasonable to limit the jump timer to 10-15 minutes (current durration of the cyno field) and to nerf the jump range to a more reasonable level. ( Maybe the current jdc IV dread range). You are going to lose a significant number of subscribers to these changes. I would be one of them, but my sub doesn't run out until march.

I can see a way around this, I think, for big alliances that have a large stable of cap/super-cap/titan pilots. They could switch pilots between jumps, having pre-staged their characters in each system along the route. The first pilot gets out, next pilot boards the ship and makes the next jump.

Yes, it's risky, yes, it requires a lot of pre-planning, but if a big alliance/corp wants to pull off a surprise attack, sending big ships a long way, faster than these mechanics allow, they'll do it.

My two cents worth...I can't sit in anything bigger than a battleship Smile

I think that the jump fatigue grows to quickly and the huge nerf to jump rage is also an issue. As an example it would take two jump to cross fade with a max level carrier meaning you are incurring a fatigue timer just staying in a region. Also this makes supers incredibly hard to move. If a max ranged carrier will go 5 ly's i can only imagine how small a titans range is.

My question is how far is to far for a jump? I think you should be able to move easily in a region and maybe a direct neighboring region but going farther then that could incur a penalty. I also think jb's should have a smaller penalty then a capital does.

Summary: The nerf is too big if the penalties are decreased I think the changes could be worth while.

So the smaller fish will only have to deal with 500 caps rather than the entire supercap + capfleet. Sounds more manageable to me.
