If you live in Drones then you're pretty much screwed. 5LY jump max...... WHAT!!!!

How about keeping the timers which would slow down the jump process or even make it worse, but the max jump distance will be nigh on unworkable for most but the biggest alliances.

As a bitter vet from 2003 I like this idea, some of it will need refining but I can see how you will be working it into your future concepts which we were shown at fanfest. Not too sure on the jump cool downs, maybe require a x4 or x5 skill to reduce effects and cool downs.

RIP. I see the days of capitals coming to an end. This doesn't prevent players from avoiding fights, this makes it easier considering it will take the attacking fleet or defending fleet longer to arrive at their goal . This gives the enemy to chance to accomplish their goals and flee before the fleet arrives. What you are trying to do is encouraged the use of gates. Making it easy for a third party to force the wrong doctrine. So, this essentially aims to make any Pvp not happen at all. Now it's only a matter of getting a cyno boat to destination system or midpoint. Then, it will just be a matter of saying 'nah that's too far let them get away without a fight.' Or , I'm sorry, but you are too far, I have. 24 hour timer between jumps.' Bad idea

From a market hub to DEEP SPACE 0.0 it is around 50ly just how much time and money do you think people are willing to spend on a game that has nothing to offer? Yes JF's get a reduction in this time but it will still be 10+ jumps which means a massive time-sink. And you will be forced to take at least 5 regional gates in a 7billion ship + whatever you have loaded. Do you really mean to tell me that this is going to work out?

You still have not fixed mining it is impossible to sustain in null-sec without high-sec. Yet you are making the export and import from null-sec to high-sec and the other way around downright impossible?

I'm sorry I'm no genius I did not study game design only economics but even with the 2 semesters of game-theory we had to take I can tell this will kill your company. Because you are about to annihilate your one and only source of income.

Eve in terms of gameplay has only one thing going for it which is that it is a sandbox. PVE in this game is stuck in the 2000 era neither fun nor rewarding nor does it scale. No incentive to do PVE with friends neither is it engaging. Everything in eve takes forever and feels more like a second job then playing a game, and here you are telling us its fine to make it even worse? Please explain to me what studies you guys have done to think that this change will be well received. The problem was never that it was to easy to move the problem was that a fight that should be over in 20 minutes takes 2 hours because of TIDI. The issue you have is TIDI yet you are not addressing it why? Yes to an extend Jump-drives need a nerf but what you are going for right now is ridiculous: Titans -> Forced to take gates to get across regions ye t they have zero ability to defend them-selfs. Even worse logistics meaning Jumpfreithers are you telling me we will need an entire alliance to provide cover fleets every time we want to do logistics and every-time it is going to be 3-6 hour undertaking. Do you really think anybody wants to play a game like this much less pay for it?

also this affects wh's u can't attack a wh anymore maybe ccp doesn't know how that works, siding dreads in a wh probing down a null / low sec entrance u jump your ships there u jump in the wh and u log off and wait for a new entrance to spawn so u can sneak in more so u can actually have a fight whit your changes getting to that wh will be impossible if its in null sec and if u get there you'll have only 3 capitals that can jump in

basically what u ppl are doing right now is consolidating the big alliancess spaces so they will never lose it and the same goes for the big corp/alliancess who live in wh's

What was the lore about Capital ships using gates previously and how is it being updated, will we see larger Stargates to represent that much larger ships can now jump through them?
