So it's an advertising firm that specializes on video game concept art among other advertisement ? Lol

Nothing sinister about that unless only concepts shown are from that particular advertisement company but then again most of us old.gen gamers have learned long ago not to trust on advertisement alone as faking in-game photos has been big since the beginning of computer gaming and I have to admit that those concept pieces do look awesome though.

And btw that roosters background looks like the tribal symbol for Minmatar ... P

Dunno about you guys, but patch 12.5 was released a few days ago, 200 000 players can play arena commander online or with NPC's, the M50 racer was released yesterday and is in my hangar, and a few days ago, they showed the FPS portion of the game and will announce the constellation and cutlass variations in 2 weeks in Germany along with other surprises.

Doesn't sound like it's just artwork, but ok.....P

Did not played it since it first went out and i tried my laptop on it today to see can it handle it with i7 24gigs of ram and 6gigs gpu it run high settings like a champ not a single hiccup or drop in fps that i could notice did not go ultra because heat generation on lapy was high enough.

Since first release this mod got way better and if anything this game will be one hell of a brawl i enjoyed it much and cant wait for it go go full bore.

Yup, it's getting better and better with every patch and the servers allow 250 000 people online too....All I need now is button remapping for the X55 Hotas I own and taking the constellation and retaliator out for a spin.....They're multi crew ships which will be introduced in A/C in full fighting form with patch 13.0 later this year.

Game is coming together nicely, which should worry CCP and Valkyrie first person fighter bomber game plenty.

You know, until I read this spergfest of a thread I kind of wanted to play Star Citizen. I now vehemently hope it tanks before release. You SC fanboys (and you know who you are.... for the love of Christ we all know who you are) have succeeded in being so goddamn obnoxious I'd rather poke my eyes out with a rusty nail than read another post about SC.

Between EVE, SC and Elite in their current states, SC is by far the worst. I don't think there's much to worry about. SC is going to take ages to be finished. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes more than a decade to be considered completely finished.

*meh* I'll check SC in about a year, I think. I backed SC some time ago, was kind of looking forward to the DFM... Haven't been real impressed with SC so far. I stopped keeping up with it at all now. I'll give 'em a year or two to work on it before I check it out again, see if anything happens.(besides million-dollar fish / towels / plants, that is)
In the meantime I think I'll play this certain space sandbox game I like that has 11 years of player-made history and richness to it.

Well the video of the constellation you're seen, but they're also adding 6 degrees of freedom controls, so get your HOTAS controls warmed up....I Already have an M50 racer for the latter.

But the funny thing is that even with just this upcoming update, the overall download is already bigger than the entire EVE game that's 11 years old now...Think about that and the FPS portion is yet to be released, the single player campaign too( 50 missions) or the public universe.....Downloading this is going to take time once fully completed, and a lot of storage space.

Means CCP better get Valkyrie done ASAP, because Star citizen is shaping up nicely to take over soon.

The days of any new MMO taking anything over are long gone.

I hadn't really looked into Star Citizen until recently... and I must say I was baffled with the package prices. I think they are an order of magnitude too high. Sure, it's comparable to what you pay in subscription for eve over the years, but that is over time and you can just quit should you feel like it. In SC you pay a lot in advance without knowing how long you'll be playing. And even as a business model, having smaller but continuous income from subscription is much better than one time big chunk. Long term there's also much less incentive for the company to keep the service running, unlike with subscriptions.

yeah i saw how much that was and thought id wait and see when it actually comes out. i really liked the idea of kickstarter and early access for games at first but now every time i see one i wish theyd finish games before releasing them or asking people to buy them like in the olden days

You pay 8n advance to support game, nothing stops you to wait it out and do all your trade with ingame money ships included...I think.

Also all ships sales stop at game release.

Early 2015 for the single player campaign that has 50 missions, and the public universe beta comes later that same year but the full finished game is only in 2016....Still took a long time when you consider it's development started in late 2011 and used an existing game engine.

Indeed, you pledge what you can and I think the cheapest pledge with a base ship is 40$.
