This is all fairly good advice, in my novice opinion. Even the sarcastic responses aren't too bad, because there's always a little truth in every joke, right? I keep leaving EVE and coming back because I would rather eat glass than run another Worlds Collide. If you can make enough for a PLEX per month (which is really all I need) running anoms in null-sec, then I may have to start looking for a nice established corp that doesn't get mad if I miss a POS bash or two.

If you want the cash without the hassle of bashing POSes, run Incursions. You get the same basic "people on coms for fun" without the hassles of nullsec and you make a metric **** ton more money.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. What's with this constructive advice horses**t?! I came on here to get scoffed at and generally trolled for being a carebear.

That comes free after your first gank. Big smile

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

You're a carebear, HTFU or GTFO.

Hey,

If you're like me, you often hear about those guys owning 10B, 20B, 30B ISK (maybe you're one of them ?). I simply wonder how those guys make so much ISK ? I've never ran after money, but it should be so nice to lose a TIII without feelings wrecked. Honestly, I know that there are maybe 10 posts like this one a day but I can't find an answer myself.

Buy low sell high on a grand scale.

Be the first to know about major upcoming changes to ships, modules, and levels of demand for items due to wars, tournaments, events etc., analyze and act accordingly.

Spot market trends, manipulate markets, capitalize on differences in demand across regions.

Key is scale. More you invest, more you make.

I am worth 30bil, maybe a bit more. Not a big guy, but i can see how dudes make trillions over a year. SImply by knowing about upcoming changes, investing in advance, and selling high once changes hit. Sell 1 ship at 30mil profit - you make 30mil. Sell 10,000 across EVE over period of months - and you make 300bn.

Honest there are 5 simple rules.

1) Avoid buying over market prices.

2) Avoid selling under market prices.

3) Pay attention to local prices, dev blogs, forums
- For example in missioning areas buy mission loot and haul to a trade hub
- Note the items that were over priced you had to buy else where and put them up with a 10% markup
- If the dev blog says ship X requires X+Y more mineral start stockpiling that ship

4) Play a long game don't sell to buy orders, don't buy from sell orders unless the price is good. Assume everything you buy to fit on your ship is something you are buying for resale.

5) Fly cheap. It's one thing to fit T2 mods but faction/deadspace mods aren't generally worth the price. Don't pvp in T3, faction ships or battleship unless your corp is replacing them.

Not entirely accurate. For higher-end PvE content deadspace and low-end officer are required.

They're never required — just handy, since they let you do slightly more with a little less.

TLDR: Money isn't everything.

I personally started salvaging back in 06 and that made me a lot. I then did various things and ended up joining a null-sec corp, ratted there and made even more. After a while i sold my first character, took all that isk and bought mechanical parts just before they went into the stratosphere. I then sold all that and bought a Titan and PLEX when they were low. I sold the Titan for a massive profit and bought even more PLEX at 500M isk and sold when it hit 750M isk. I then re-bought PLEX when they went below 700M, 680-something i think.

I now have more than enough to run my 4 accounts until EvE well and truly dies and I can log on whenever i want to and play how i wish. I'm not burdened in the game or have pressure to get the next month's PLEX.

When i started playing all i wanted was money money money. I NEEDED to get more and more and it was the only reason i played. I HAD to get the T3, i HAD to have the faction hardener etc etc. I'd give it all away to go back and have that fire that some players have that went balls-to-the-wall and PvP'd out of the box, had a blast and have no regrets.

For starters, (0.0) Alliance leaders have their fair share in moon goo profits and/or whatever taxes and such. They have the cash and capacities to move big stuff around and make even more profits.

In your case, it is best to make your cashflow and rely on that without worrying about the rest of the world, or how they do. In EVE, there will always be somebody richer than you.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
