Interesting. I thought doing them with smartbombs would make everything much easier out of simplicity.

You have to have both the battleship pilots, the cap pilots, Loki pilots, warpin scouts (usually in Zephyrs), and to top it all off coordination.

The coordination is key because otherwise the sleepers move too far out and then your whole site is significantly slower.

Can you still do smartbomb apocs in a C6 Red Giant? I know people have done it, but after they changed slightly how the escalation waves spawn it seems like they might get out of range too fast.

I don't know though since I haven't tried and don' thave the resources to try.

We used smartbombing Abaddons. I don't know the advantage of using an Apoc over an Abaddon.

Doesn't matter what BS really, the only thing that can be an issue from my short stint in theorycrafting in EFT was CPU issues. Good to know that it still works though.

I've never actually done it so forgive my ignorance, but what are the lokis for?

I thought the premise was to kill all the bs before they got out of smartbomb range.

Edit: I stated apoc's in op because I saw a video of someone doing it with apocs

We used Abaddons for the resists and because they're blue (Kador Edition)

and the Lokis are fit with all webs to keep the trigger from getting close to the warpin (and Smartbombs) and to keep the target escalation from getting away from the smartbombs.

you should use dreads. if youre not using dreads you should be running incursions in HS.

He's not wrong.

If you're using Dreads, it's still possible that you should be running incursions in HS.

Bumping thread, also c5 data/relics can be done with a drake (the easy ones) and a mobile depot. Normal c5 sites can be done with a 3b tengu, as well. Or a 3b marauder.

please report OP for sticky

C6 Red Giants can still be done by smartbombing (used Abaddons, not Apocs) with the right fits and precision. Best if the sites are spawned already, and you have the correct warpins.

That being said, it's a lot less hassle to do sites conventionally if you're already set up for that.

And if your archon gives you reps, you don't die and another smart bombing Abaddon doesn't pod you.

Other than that, its great!

Are you sure? Do you mean just the first wave? I was using 2 rr cap transfer tengus to do the easier relic site. Loot spew killed that since it took 3x as long to do the site but since thats gone solo relics are a thing again. Could you link a fit for the drake please? I'm rather skeptical...

Yes, just the first wave, then you hack with the drake. It's more of a noob/solo thing to do. Tengus work better, but they need a lot of positive cap regen.
