You saw the intro video with the large Bengal carrier.....Is there any ship in eve that looks to have anywhere near that kind of detail, you can move about inside and packs 128 guns in total, not to mention a full fighter complement.....Err, no...P

How the actual **** is moving inside a ship a feature? You must be so desperate if you have to scrape the bottom to come up with a daft argument like that but tell you what, if I can move around inside a Bengal Carrier, kill you inside it and toss your corpse out the airlock then it is a feature.

I am also happy for Project Legion, EVE Valkyrie and the future of EVE.

Pay to win and not integrated in EVE Online's dead end graphic engine? No thanks.
I'm looking to play a single game that combines everything, not throw money at 3 different games and having to imagine the rest by looking at a trailer.

What is the difference? You can buy ships already in Star Citizen, which is effectively bypassing everything and anything called effort.

Oh, and if you were one of the lucky ones, you even got the LTI.

People thought it would be, but with Dust and now Valkyrie being added to the universe, it looks like it will not be an EVE killer.

When it gets working and playable we can talk about how it measures up. *pats on the head*

Based on what you know about something trying to be too many things at once, what do you really expect from the premise of SC?

By your own words.

Yep, technically this game is the one that could be interpreted as pay to win, since you can even come here and convert real money into a highly trained character that will give you an edge over new players on new characters.
Micro-transactions on game items like ships/weapons/boosters/vanity/etc when well implemented (as opposed to the way they were implemented in games ruined by EA) give the company extra revenue and allow casual players to enjoy the game aswell. They don't make the game pay to win as long as you can get all the sold items with ingame money too at reasonable prices.

So what you are basically saying is the people that walked away with the LTI package (like the case of Vanduul Scythe with LTI) does not have a advantage over everyone else?

You might want to rethink your argument a little as you clearly didn't think it through.

The gameplay model is pretty materialistic, and it's pretty weak in terms of identifiability. After your character wears down over time and eventually dies, you're left with your stuff.

I'd rather have the opposite.

You could scam/steal everything but my pod and clothes, but i'll still have everything I value in this game. So LTI means nothing to me, and it's only a good idea to someone who doesn't appreciate RP.

Whether you know it, or are willing to admit it, if you play this game and especially if you post on the forums, RP and identity means something to you.

I haven't been in this thread for a minute, and now that I think about it, imo:

destroying characters will prove to be fatal.

also, that instant recognition you have with capsuleers who you haven't seen in years, but were great friends way back when. Won't happen. Unless you go by some type of "root" account/avatar, which also dilutes your connection with a toon.

I'm willing to bet most people haven't thought of that, because the years haven't passed. and unless they've played EVE, they won't know the difference, assuming they stick with SC that long.

fatal.

Lol yes that was exactly what I wrote there.

You might want to learn to read before you post things like this.

Nice way to insulate the argument to just moving in the ship and forgetting the artwork done in the Crytek engine( you were asking for it earlier remember?), but here's the video showing something done 18 months ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlIWJlz6-Eg

Wipes the floor with anything flying in EVE detail wise, and that's in game not a cut sequence at all, so the next time you have any argument at all, how about informing yourself on what's been accomplished so far....It's like arguing with a 2 year old...Ugh

Nope, only the smaller ships are available up to a crew of 6 people which would be the retaliator heavy bomber.....Corvettes, destroyers, frigates, cruisers, battlecruisers are only available thru in game actions, namely earning the money to buy one.

Eve used to be like that in the early years before plexes kicked in, now nothing stops people from buying anything they want in eve.

Everytime we point out why it is the perfect project and that EVE Online is just a wanna-be Star Citizen that failed/refused to exist, you change subject into a topic that has previously been adressed.

Cmon admit it, Star Citizen has won the thread.

They're so completely brainwashed by eve that admitting that other space games do certain aspects better is pure heresy to their ears.

Well, technically I'm not paying it... someone else paid it for me. And yes, I find the forum more entertaining than the game at the moment.

Oh, there's more differences than that... one of them being that the Star Citizen trailers are made out of in-engine footage and the EVE ones aren't. Because unlike you, CCP marketers are aware that if they got a trailer done with in-game footage newcomers would look at it and go like: "Dayum.. that game looks like sh*t" and they woulnd't come try it out.
You know... lol yes you know you will never get what's in that EVE trailer.... while SC backers are sure they will get whats in the SC one.

I don't understand your argument. You do realize that that is exactly the sort of thing you are going to be able to do right?

Fly your ship with your buddies manning the weapons/scanners etc. Attack and board enemy ships, take their crew by
force, take their stuff, get back on your ship and maybe go do some planet side FPS to top off the afternoon. :p

Oh, and you wont have to log in to three separate games to do this.
