So, who won Eve? And maybe more importantly who lost Eve?

Fun stats, I'm surprised Drake losses are so high.

Those numbers count PvE loses as well.

Drake 505,263
Hurricane 331,441

The Hurricane is not used as often for PvE. In PvP it often uses speed to disengage when it is loosing. Finally the Drake is often used as a large fleet ship in cheap human wave tactics where ships like the Geddon and the Abbadon who cost 3-4 times as much wreck them.

All combined as the most used ship in the game it would have the highest loses.

It is worth noting that this is over a ~4 year period.

Capital Ships numbers?

They go by Mails generated. Self Destruct does not generate mails so the numbers would not be near accurate.

Any way we could get to see the top five killer corporations with regard to their member numbers? As it is now the ones on top are probably more due to high numbers than actually good players?

Or am I wrong, is it already divided by member numbers?

In the name of ... well, I don't know what -- but you know what I mean -- I'd like to request following statistic:

Top 5 capsuleer corporations rated on the number of kills per avarage member.

If not killed Capitals, it would be interesting to see at least how many and type of ships killed by capitals, which type of capitals and how many distinct capitals are being used actively for pvp and distribution in low/null/whormhole space. It would be very interesting to see a timeline on the events.

Imho this should be included in every killboard. A corp with 50 members that has every one of those members actively killing things > corp with 500 members with only 15 participating.

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

Is it possible to get the amount of kill by player density?

Highsec has a lot of kills, but also a much higher population than null or low. Can you divide the kills by player density and show them?

DeBingJos.

Well, I filtered the information based on data at midnight last night to get the number of characters with more than 5 million SP by security group, then fetched the number of fill reports per sec group during November (just November this year), which gave the following...

Kill reports per character during November 2011 by sec group:

High sec: 0.67
Low sec: 3.04
Null sec: 2.29
Wormhole space: 1.03

And so dies the persistant yet obviously wrong myth that high-sec has "more PvP than Null"

Nope, it's just full of people who lose their ships to NPCs.

this includes suicide ganks and, before the insurance nerf, people farming thousands of battleships for insurance frauding. The quickest way to do that was to get a GCC, lose ship to CONCORD, dock, undock in new ship, lose ship to CONCORD...

More very useful information, thank you.

I wonder if the raw data dump might be made accessible? It would be glorious if someone were to use it to make a timelapsed animation of PvP shiploss... great battles flaring like supernovae, roaring wildfires tracking the course of the major wars, the steadily glowing gems of Rancer, Ammameke and the trade hubs.

In the PvP Kills - Race.

What makes up the 6% "other" portion?

I would guess Jove, I know theres a few Jove pilots still out there, but thats still a rather big portion.

Edit - I think I misunderstood the graph. Is that kills made by the particular race? If so, I can understand the numbers if it includes CCP pilots in incursions.

Capital Ships numbers?

Sure. Filtered only to player accounts (to get rid of any losses of event ships and such).

Since Trinity (Dec 5th, 2007), capital ships losses where an NPC scored the final blow (yes, this is that bad):

Carrier 961
Thanatos 424
Chimera 255
Archon 161
Nidhoggur 121

Freighter 499
Obelisk 180
Charon 175
Fenrir 76
Providence 68

Dreadnought 350
Moros 135
Revelation 113
Naglfar 53
Phoenix 49

Jump Freighter 179
Anshar 75
Rhea 64
Ark 27
Nomad 13

Rorqual 93

Supercarrier 2
Nyx 1
Hel 1

And in PVP (note that it doesn't show losses where a kill report wasn't generated, which used to happen sometimes in huge fleet fights):

Carrier 16,524
Thanatos 7,184
Chimera 3,987
Archon 3,202
Nidhoggur 2,151

Dreadnought 8,251
Moros 3,067
Revelation 2,516
Phoenix 1,589
Naglfar 1,079

Freighter 6,364
Obelisk 2,652
Charon 1,865
Providence 982
Fenrir 865

Jump Freighter 1,416
Anshar 624
Rhea 431
Ark 208
Nomad 153

Rorqual 1,160

Supercarrier 523
Nyx 285
Aeon 116
Wyvern 84
Hel 38

Titan 158
Erebus 63

Ragnarok 20

People doing that in trade hubs always ended up with Privateers/AD0PT on their lossmails, tho.
