Been using Tripwire for the past couple of days now, absolutely amazing tool thank you for building this and allowing corporations to use this for free. Many thanks from MATH. Smile

I have spent the last few weeks getting feedback from users and gathering a list of what Tripwire needs to finally end the final beta stage. Here is a compact version of that list - this doesn't mean I will stop adding features to Tripwire, I have many more planned and already in the works! This is just my goal for the next month or two.

Please give me your thoughts - this list is from user feedback...

For a detailed breakdown and place to post feedback please use this Tripwire forum thread.

Like you roll your static and jump into the new one. Shows up on your map and everyone elses maps that connect to that are greyed out until you map them yourself. It wouldn't show where other people were in the chain.

If Tripwire did something like that Blue-Fire would switch over to it instead of using siggy in an instant

I predict that a lot of people would stop using Tripwire if your chain automaticly was shown to your enemies..
Or, since Tripwire shows you exactly the system you want it to, and you can change your home, many people would only use Tripwire to gather intel on their enemies (Look at their home system and you will get their entrances).
While I can see why you would think this is cool, I simply don't believe it would turn out the way you would want it to :)

Wh corps are complaining they can't find anyone. Yeah of course this would make meta gaming much easier and something could be done to tone it down maybe but think of how many more fights you would get Big smile

We'd probably get more fights in w-space if we all agreed not to pod people we'd just ganked. I think our well oiled roll-and-gank machines and their relentless search for blood are driving people out of low end w-space.

While Tripwire is still in beta, I must authorize your corp or alliance. Shoot me an evemail.

Its that time of year again!

No not the holidays - server maintenance. Tuesday April 15th (about 10:00 EVE)

Tripwire was NOT susceptible to the Heart Bleed exploit, however as an extra safety measure we are going to be changing our SSL keys to brand new ones. We will also be doing the usual maintenance.

Tripwire will STILL BE AVAILABLE - however you will need to use the development version (code named Galileo). Galileo is always in-sync with regular Tripwire and entering signatures in either will update both.

Does it require for every user to register? or can i just give access to all my corp via http header info + password?

During beta I must authorize your corp/alliance - then each person can register an account. A single account can be used multiple times for alts and such as needed.

I would think you would want all your members to register their own user-account.
The 0-mask API they provide will then provide them access to your your corps signatures and map.

The advantage of having separate user accounts is that when you kick a member, or someone leaves your corp, they will automatically have their access taken away, securing that only people in your corp have access to your chain-map and signatures. Smile

this adds a lot of needles complexity. Yes it adds to "unsecurenes" (is that a word?) using HTTP headers to determine what corp you belong too, but thats why Siggy uses corp wide password.

I'm really trying to get as little as possible registration steps to use corp tools by my members.

Withh HTTP header it also work like this - just little less securely.

Patch is now live!

A full page refresh is ideal to make sure you have all the latest code. ctrl-F5 or clear IGB cache.

Also this weekend Galileo will be getting a major server overhaul so it will be down - avoid using it until I post that it is ready again.

Would any of that be why tripwire no longer functions out of game?

Can you tell me which browser and possibly add a screen shot.

I have been monitoring it all day and been on EVE since 7am and nobody has reported major issues.. only minor.
