AFAIK Darknesss was never involved. If he wants to donate, I'm sure Aldap and Mizhir will be interested in having that conversation with him Smile

I hope the rest of the judges are aware of the workload this will potentially require, as we will endeavour to thoroughly asset the supplied fights, and will use ingame and API tools to review BRs and things you mention, such as the opponent's estimated/expected SP ballpark and/or combat experience. Though typically this comes across in the footage itself, and factoring in that everyone can make mistakes is a part of PvP decisions.

And once again, this isn't some free-for-all, submissions aren't being accepted in an autonomous manner, actual people will review each & every one so there's no need to keep bringing up things about peoples' small gang/blob endeavours. This is about solo combat ships Big smile

Did you get the point ?

Some players of my corp are really interested in this contest. We just hope that Buhhdust Princess won't send us his cyno tengu dropping 30 black ops on our active tanked ships every time we'll undock them ;) . i doubt it would make an interesting video.

It's a great point you got there, however we will put alot of effort into understanding the fight when we start picking the top for our video. So there will be done some research on the oppoments as well. We will check killmails for fits and we will have a close look at the actual footage and try and get an idea of how well the enemies fly.

We will hopefully be able to spot every vital detail with our panel of judges who together will cover a broad spectrum of not only solo pvp, but also different types of fleet combat.

I am really glad that you raised the question. My goal is to make this a collection of top quality solo fights and all kind of feedback is a great help.

Is there any chance to see more legends into the jury ?

I think about... Darkness, Burntime, ColdBlood (don't remember his precise name but the vid was call Fearless), and all that i could forget...

After all, i'm sure that every soloer in the game have a different "god" to pray, and it could be the detail that switch on the motivation on many more players. "omg *insert Legendary Name* himself would watch my vid ??? sure i'll do it !".

Well we have to be careful to not get a too big jury. We have aimed to get a very broad selectrion with the staff we have.

But if there is popular demand, we might add 1 or two more.

I'd rather people like God's Coldblood came out of retirement and also somehow found a way to e.g. brawl in bling BSs again such that he could enter the contest, rather than judge it, but maybe that's just me Blink

Due to a few requests, we found that indeed rule 9 needed a change.
So now the fights that are submitted for the contest, can be used later on for other public videos.
The rule is changed from full exclusivity, to just delaying the release of the fight in other videos until after the project video is released.

In other words, we wouldn't want people to see your submitted fight before it is seen in the official video. But afterwards we're fine with it showing in other videos or any sort.

I thought some of the fights in your Scrap Fraps for example were really good.
And there's more than 2 months left, lots of time :-)

K so can i post a video of my SOLO logi alt keeping missy alive long enough to kill said random 10 man fleet and will it qualify?

I mean technically my logi is solo, has no reps or ewar to protect it aside from the one ship it MUST keep alive...
