Bumping this because releasing these textures as unsupported-don't-cry-about-the-download-size would be a great feature for Rubicon.

Fix POSes.  Every player should want one (even if all players can't have one).

I can't see how this could be bad given that it would be optional, the option should be there by default!

I believe CCP is reluctant to add this in due to the hosting costs of so many people downloading an additional 4 gigs of patch?

People download the multi-gig EVE client already.

An additional 4 gigs downloaded by a couple more people would not hurt.

Absolutely. The current nebulae themselves need a resolution bump and alpha channel fix as well.

Do not get me wrong CCP Seagull,

If you already have the hi resolution textures to ships, you should lead the devs to discover some way to deliver it to us.

Do not blame the net, and do not mock me, but to get it I even volunteer to fly to your doorstep with my external drive. And after that I fly to eve-files server to distribute it to the world.

We need hi resolution now! It like live the life without glasses, knowing they are somewhere near us.. Hi resolution are the rise of the new capsuler age!
