It's a metaphore on how EVE is addictive, it's not the real stuff, it's destructive, and has become worst on all three accounts over a period of time.

Both crack and krokodil are two sides of the same coin. Addictive cheap drugs with a short high and hard crash with the big difference being that one is a stimulant and the other is a narcotic. I wasn't sure whether the comparison was in reference to krokodil having a reputation for causing health problems or because it's a narcotic. To be honest I think it makes more sense as a narcotic.

Crack destroys the brain and krokodil destroys the body in a quite disgusting way. Crack is not cocain* and krokodil is not heroine.

As many metaphores, it makes less sense the more you think about it... Smile

Battleships will not be released till late in the Beta or maybe the Gamma, same with a lot of ships.

This way you will be able or earn them in game or buy them later on(not sure exactly how that will work though as they are putting a cap on the amounts of funds you can change into store money)

Same with a large number of ships they are releasing later, so the smaller ships and the idris will have the ability for LTI but a large number of bigger ships will not.

Edit: Oh and for the record, I too like cakeBig smile

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

The way it sounds, ships beyond the size of a cruiser are not supposed to be purchasable. They can only be obtained through theft or something like reclaiming a derelict which in either case would be a large scale effort. Then if you want something like a Bengal Carrier there's a limited number available at any given time, so if they are all held by 'guilds' you would have to capture or deal with another 'guild' to obtain one.

For someone so incredibly butthurt over a stupid game, you certainly should click that uninstall button and erase whatever trace of EVE Online left on your computer. Reading your posts has since long turned into like reading someone inflicting self-harm rather than doing the intelligent thing and seek help.

Lack of better things to do with your time and/or life than to whinge about a computer game on the game forum, I imagine?

Why would I delete a game with years of paid game time? Even if I don't like the game, I still get to play on the forums but you see I do like EvE, it is CCPs actions and poor customer service I have a problem with.

And as you have had so much time to read all of these posts of mine, which one of us has no life? Lol

Learn to vote with your wallet then. CCP is not going to change unless there is a very steep decline in subscribers and while I don't think the latest scandals with Somer or Ishukone Scorpions will cost them subscribers, it is time to pull out the whip.

As to which of us has no life? Well, looking at it technically; we are both alive. It is more a question of which one of us uses their time in a manner that is anything but stupid.

I still can't fathom why people spend hundred or thousands of dollars on this game. I mean it's wasted money. You are making an investment without any form of tangible return. There's no arrangement for a cut of the profits from the sale of the game. No interest or monetary dividends for sales/subscriber base. Nothing. Sure IF the game gets completed, you'll get to play it, but you would get to play once the game gets completed regardless.

The only one reaping the benefits of this kickstarter is Chris Roberts. He gets direct funding, has full control to develop, publish and distribute. He then keeps all his earnings in-house while giving back essentially nothing but some nice looking lines of code and POSSIBLY a completed game.

Personally, I would use that money on booze and women and a late few nights out, but hey to each their own.

Cheers to Chris Robert! Keep taking everyone's moneyPirate

Actually not only CR. People are reselling Scythes for $600-1500 (base price is $300). I am thinking about sale of my Super Hornet after LTI period end for few hundreds US pesos - and I bet I'm not alone: there are already ads on E-Bay about common LTI ships available for 150% of normal price despite fact you can get them for the base price with minimal effort.

The benefit we get is to play an awesome game that would not have happened otherwise.

I don't know about you but I have spent thousands of hours playing EvE, back when I believed in their vision for the games future.

Chris Roberts has presented a vision of what he wants to play and personally I like that vision enough to give over money to make it happen.

Also given the amount of dev contact we get, we know pretty much how well they are doing, what they are doing and if and why there are any delays.

So far teams have worked almost 50 hours straight on weekends to make sure their time table is as tight as possible.
