[Rubicon] Visual changes feedback

Since someone else mentioned this I tried the Captain's Quarters and it looks odd, and more resource consuming than what's on TQ right now. In TQ my GPU temps stay at around under 73C but now in SiSi they rose up to 78 before the client crashed, judging by the sound the GPU fans were making it would've probably risen higher.

Also there seems to be no anti-aliasing working in the CQ, everything looked like they had super rough edges, though not sure what was the cause of that.

Have a PNY GTX 560 Ti 1GB card with fairly recent but not the most recent nvidia drivers.

Command ship wise the changes I would say.

Nighthawk looked a hell of a lot better with the Ferox hull.

As for the Slepnir with the hurricane hull it kinda looks terrible, Theres almost no differnce between it and the normal hurricane

To fix this i suggest that you swap the paint scheme for the claymore and slepnir

If you ask me I think a Black Hurricane would look bad ass. and more unique

ok

the nighthawk, sleipnir and absolution look ok. the eos on the other hand needs a better reskin its hard to see the difference between myrm and it.

But to make sure, why did u waste time on it. when u do it do it right and give all cs a distinctive hull.

1) Malediction model should use hard points 1,2,3 not 0,1,2 ( I assume things are 0 indexed )

2) DX11 runs cooler and smoother than the DX9 client, for Sisi, The DX11 client runs with about he same performance on Sisi as the DX9 TQ client does.
But the DX9 on sisi is slower and more resource intensive, something is not right ^tm with the new DX9 build.

3) Bastion transforms, need to be really obvious, garish lights, or bigger motion, not just for visual appeal but also for game play reasons in PvP, you need to know "hey that guy is in bastion mode"

Issues I have noticed so far on the current SiSi build.

While testing a Phoenix in siege mode every time I was zoomed out the camera focus would zoom back in close to the ship, this also happened while I had the focus set on another object.

The focus would also change back to the default focus if I was zoomed in really close to the ship, made it had to show off some missile porn to a friend

The only other issue so far is the warp zoom issue but I saw that has been previously noted

I found yet another issue, Any roles that a pilot has on TQ has not been transferred correctly to SiSi, eg. POS Config Roles or Director Roles

When you activate the golden pod implant the pod in your CQ remains green.

i was on the test server a couple days ago an encoutnered a Moros for the first time... i was excited Big smile i mahsed alt prtsc and then went to paint and realised that it was an image of my desktop....Oops i mashed the button combo again with previous knowledge that i can make screenshots using this button combo before and still do on the main server....i pasted the image to paint again and the same thing happend Evil

in all seriousness CCP why cant i make screenshots anymore?

yeah, i agree.
generally i like the model changes, but it would have been better if ccp-art took it's time to give them a distinct twist, like they did so beautifully with vargur, kronos and stabber.

a sleipnir aka brutor build cane needs the round solar panels for sure. htats a signature part of boundless creation ships.

So there's a definite drop in performance from TQ to Sisi. I have some screenshots with fps window open. If a dev would like more data just let me know and i'll see what i can do

The only thing I changed between the two tests was full screen vs fixed window

Thanks Sointu, we are aware something isnt quite right with the CQ performance and are investigating further. We resolved a few resource leaks today that might be the culprit for this.

There is a known bug on Singularity where by the camera will reset if anything is loaded on the grid, this should get resolved soon.

I'm afraid this is by design, the CQ pod is a static object that wont update.

The inverted colours for screenshots will get fixed soon. :)

The problem is that you're using DX11. Microsoft just barfed up that turd API and called it a day so they could go back to their xbox.

Unable to load DX11 in high resolution.. I get the screen flicker that its trying to change screen resolution but it only loads in low resolution. Selecting DX9 with launcher fixes the issue.
