Update to the Launcher and the repair tool - Fix inside!

I recently started getting the offline mode from the launcher of just one of my 2 Eve folders... deleting the screwed up one and copying from the good one somehow didnt do anything at all.

However, someone said earlier to check your Internet Explorer settings. I use Chrome and hadn't opened IE in I don't know how long.

Low and behold, I open IE to check settings and it won't connect to the internet (Chrome however was on fine so it wasn't internet/network). I simply went into the options and reset everything for IE. Opened the launcher and worked perfectly again.

It looks like the launcher is tied into Internet Explorer some way or another.

the message itself is much longer.
if i log to the login screen and it drops me out to patch i also get an error message when 7/7 applying patch. it just stops and shows an error message.
I tried repair tool too but this also crashes when downloading receipes.
no idea what to do now. please help

I have the same problem, since this new patch of oddesay i have not been able to patch and ccp yet has given me the answer via petition and they said the devs where goign to research the error report submited but want me to close petition. In 1 week i had to dl the full client 3 times now, not counting the 770mb patch that was launch that my launcher dl 5 times.

yeah, it is still not working and i already made a bug report and a petition. I wanted to download and install completely new but the download is 18GB and i only have 20GB per month free. so at the moment i have no other chance than waiting for ccp help get this patched.

WOW 2 consecutive full client downloads cause CCP needs to change the color on the ships and i have to pay the consequences. It the past week i have used over 25gb of internet bit to continue playing this game in which customer satisfaction is met by unsubing account and not play the game as there is no feedback from the so CALLED Devs and GMs. Please CCP i have a petition open please update with your feedback from all my log file submitted. I tried this method too, but now the launcher keeps displaying that is installing files but nothing happens. Where is CCP when you really need it?

Maybe it would help if you exercised a bit of patience. I just tried the repair tool again and they've uploaded an new index file so they ARE working on the issue. Now please simmer down or quit. I'm personally sick of babies crying and stomping their foot wanting their woobies now or they're gonna tantrum and go back to WoW.

Then again, no. They don't care. Give me your stuff and leave.

If you are sick of babies crying and stomping their foot demanding the game they PAY RL MONEY for to work, go ahead and go somewhere else. You're not helping anyone.

Then nothing happens anymore in the launcher. Tried several times now.

(EDIT - sometimes I get the above, sometimes "server has no update package")

Do we have any chance to get the game running again before, say, Sunday?

After several attempts where I got in but all my settings were suddenly gone, now it's looking good for me too.

@CCP

Okay I dunno what the situation looks like from your P.O.V. but I seem to remember that this Nullsoft install system has done crap several times now already... from my perspective this begs the question whether maybe you should consider an alternative?

Full install complete and online altho no update was able to be performed. CCP staff please update or shed some info on the matter, that may help us the player base to remain calm. Feedback to your clients is essential so we may go away for a while thinking you are doing somethign on the matter. Just lie to us to stall us for a bit. Lol

Step i have followed in order to try to update which fails everytime.

Step 1. restart pc ( windows 8 x64)
Step 2. disable firewall/antivirus/malware
Step 3. set the launcher with admin rights and windows 7 compability
Step 4. activate launcher
Step 5. Bang my head against the wall since the launcher progress goes up to 15% then skips to 25% and fails.
Step 6. Restart computer and repeat steps 1 thru 3 but with the repair tool.
Step 7. Repair tool does not work and creates a log
Step 8. Give up and download the full client.

CCP has yet to fix this issue and no feedback given.

This fix worked@!

Maybe they can tell me to run the repair tool again. The only thing that works is reinstalling the entire game.

PATCHING BREAKS THE GAME.
