Well since they are away from a clock I assume, I'd suggest a watch or phone to keep time with. Should solve it nicely.

Minimize local, if you can't see them they won't bother you.

Stop playing Eve then they won't bother you either...

Stop operating in 0.0 and they will not bother you either...

Stay docked up and they will not bother you...

Stay in the POS and they will not bother you...

Rat in a Rifter and use a clone without implants and they will not bother you...

Move to another system and they will not bother you...

There you go a few more for you!

Which sums up perfectly, why it's broken

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

This has gone on far too long where people using hacks and other mechanics to cause grief to other players for no good reason and no way to stop this. This must be against EULA and could be taken to court for enforcement or other reparations.

I am speaking here of that which is cloaking in blue space with no intent of play just to sit there all time and then kill our ship when we have no pvp settings to counter with. This AFK grief tactic is against rules and against intentions and must be made to stopped.

What now is to be done about this? perhaps international law needs looking to this issue? This is hard maked money spent on game only to be grieved by other player for no reason to violate rules.

Who is to help on this?

See that window called local? That one. That lets you detect their presence in system 100% of the time with 100% accuracy for absolutely free.

Wait, you want MORE than that? You want to remove absolutely every little bit of uncertainty and risk there is in nullsec?

Sorry, nope!

AFK Cloaking Thread Collection

Ah, but the thread title says AFK Clocking, not Cloaking, it seems we have derailed here.

By the way, WTF is AFK Clocking?? Something to do with timing AFK activities? Or is it using an alarm clock to get up right after down time to restart your AFK characters? Either way seems like a real waste of an account to me.

Seriously though, I could not care less. I just ignore them. If they are inactive, and actually AFK they are not a threat. Sure I may occasionally lose a ship when they return from AFK to scan me down in a site, but that is what Dscan is for. besides it is only a game, a PVP game. Why play a PVP game if you are afraid of PVP? If you want safe PVE go to high sec.

What do you do if there is a non afk Cloaker hunting you? You watch Dscan for probes, and you avoid them. Same principals apply. If you are not willing to risk your ship to random PVP then go back to high sec and leave LOW/NULL for those that actually want to PVP.

I agree with the OP completely. This is an outrage that must be fixed immediately, or the game of EVE shall suffer the consequences! We will not stand for this injustice against man, and eve, kind. AFK clocking must be stopped now, or this game will be no more! I will formally construct a letter of complaint to CCP for their shortsightedness on this issue, and will work to my absolute fullest extent to stop AFK clocking in its tracks! We will not falter, and we will not fail.

Not directly, but calls to be able to find cloaked ships, or to determine whether they're afk, are by definition the removal of uncertainty and risk in nullsec.

Since local is currently extremely overpowered and a resident of a system can warp off and "get safe" before an adversary has even finished loading into system, the only options left are prolonged cloaking. If you nerf that ability, you remove ALL uncertainty and risk.

Of course, no one directly says "remove all uncertainty and risk", they are dishonest about it and make elaborate smokescreens. I'm here to expose the truth.
