How did most people make the transition from CareBear to pew? I was fortunate enough to have a teacher and am killing it forward...but not everyone is so fortunate!

Some thoughts to return EvE to its HTFU roots...

- Allow war deccing of NPC corporations (my personal fave) [kinda joking/trolling with this one...]
- Stations force an undock and poop players out who remain inside longer than 'x' minutes. Combine this with a cannot-redock in same station time for 'y' time for additional fun
- Players cannot quit a corporation under current wardecs, quit happens once current wars end

- Players cannot quit a corporation under current wardecs, quit happens once current wars end ** not so bad tbh
- ?

My story is pretty simple, I was in a fleet and the FC told me to shoot at things, so I did.

So let me undserstand this. You want to get easy kills, and want to do that by making the game suck for newbies, traders and anyone afk?
So basically you want the EVE population to die, gotcha.

Those are awful ideas. Apart from maybe the wardec one. Or maybe allow them to leave but they are still wardecced until the renewal.

I got bored of pewing Npcs and joined RvB a week or so into playing.

I've been gone for a while, but when did GD become the catch-all dumping ground for terrible game ideas and crappy player blogs?

I've only transitioned from weirdo to goofball....

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Is it better to give a carebear a fish (nerfs), or to teach him how to fish (survive during wartime through aggro)?

I ask this in all seriousness, as losec and null remain generally empty and everyone remains safely ensconced in hisec. Will they go there sooner or later with hisec remaining a disneyland? Will the content in hisec become more or less stagnant with carebear loving nerfs?

Worth the benefits IMHO, to reduce dock-up pussification on a grand scale, with the minor inconvenience to a trader having to re-dock every hour.

I (and others) want competitive content, best manifested in fights, easy or otherwise. Ships and pixels exploding good, people in hisec wrapped in bubble wrap bad.

The first time a girl pushed your hand away from her boobies or crotch, it sucked. The next time when one let you get to third base it didn't, you learned to enjoy hitting on girls (hopefully) after getting over the first painful hurdles. Do you want carebears to remain virgins forever? Is hisec to continue its road to monestary-dom?

I just want my bubble wrapped space virgin bretheren to get more EVE space poon, without going to the seedy part of town and risking a nasty infection....TiDi cannot be cured by penecillin, ya know?

its a psychological issue not a game mechanics problem

most players seem to be trying to make pvp unappealing to others imo

thanks to those that actually help and encourage the newer potential pvp players

Oh look, someone else with bad ideas to make everyone play the game their way, AND a subtle blawg link.

*yawn*

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

i love it when moron scrubs say they want to make eve go 'back to its roots' by making the game easier for their playstyle (irony number 1), ignoring the fact that removing traders/manufacturers/miners from the game just means that item prices will go through the damned roof (irony number 2).

i make spreadsheets for pretty cheap. contact me for more info.

While I fully understand the psychosis that accompanies a scrub which can only get kills whoring off of blobs of 10+ players or more in size trying to enhance their e-peen by spuriously bashing others with red herring arguments...

...please do try to keep this thread at the level of excellence we have all come to expect from an EVEO forum discussion.

Now, no one suggested removing traders/manufacturers/miners/your mother from EvE. Said parties enjoyed high success prior to the numerous hisec nerfs mentioned in the blog being made. A return to previous-to-nerf state will not 'kill EVE' as you hyperbole. Barring other changes like forced periodic undocks, can we not at least agree on rolling back the nerfs mentioned here?

While I do not believe either of these proposals have much value from balance perspective, I cannot lock it for any rules violations.

The topic is more of a Features and Ideas Section topic, so I will move it there.

Please keep on topic and post constructively.
I will be monitoring this thread, for violations.
