Battlereport for Uedama Today:

Today , we formed a fast skirmish fleet to fight Marmite in their home system. Took us 15 minutes to form up. We had intel and knew they'd have their Friday t1 BS roam. While they were forming up, our friends from UMAD/DEVIL'S (4 man fleet) taking the low sec route from Amarr (had intel on targets) went to cut off any add'l numbers from Gallente space ... killing evrybody down there amounting to 6 bill ++ in damage. Dom linked the kills in an above post. Zeus was a brilliant tactician and he was right on with this move.

Meanwhile my fleet waited in the adjacent low sec to Uedama waiting for Tora to undock his war machine. They sent me emails saying they saw us... so what I thought, they outnumbered us 2:1 with 2 falcons (Cobra and Miranda Osiris), El Geo and Tora shipped into guardians plus a gaggle of neutral reps with links (Lady Rachel)... 12-15 battleships including Kypp in his Bhaalgorn...

They undocked Domis, Tempests, Typhoons, Bhaals... and redocked. We agreed it was going to be a slug fest and we'd lose a lot of ****, but we said fk'it it's Friday. Let's do this. Then nothing... only smack by email. We waited 1/2 hour for them to undock. Nothing.

So, I decided to burn one of my spais and had him undock in a Tempest bumped 50km off station. We warped in tackled him and waited in front of their home station... nothing. 30 minutes went by and nobody from Marmite came out. We have the ts3 recorded and it sounds like a sorority house being panty raided by a bunch of frat boys. Screams and yelps of what to do and what not to do.

El-Geo came out in a guardian and repped the tempest. We had the tempest agress so we could have aggro timer on the guard... we killed him. That was all the response from the 22 Marmite in local. We knew they wouldn't respond.

El-Geo figured out the tempest pilot was with us, so we said fk'it let him leave and drop corp and join us... he's been begging to leave Marmite b/c of all the talk and no action.

I feel the need to suddenly chime in here.

Everybody knows I got no issue with just about anybody. I use to like Marmite... Hell some of my fav guys are in like Concentrated Evil with Magic and his party before they joined Marmite. (yes holy was not part of them back then)

But Marmite as entity has grown lazy and complacent. The substituted skill and ability for numbers, as a result their members are extremely dependant on those numbers to feel safe in doing anything. Even with my short stint in Marmite I would watch targets mission in peace while 20 - 30 guys camp hubs. I would call on alliance channel saying I am engaging 3 targets 15 jump away in a mission system only to be told I need to get back to the safety of the fleet near Eudema. So I killed my target and left.

Tora... take it for what it is. Standing from the outside you might be killing many people every week but I know you are not fulfilling your contracts with people. Is that a bit much for the guy that scammed the Merc channel? Prolly. But you know me to be a bit direct in my approach. Marmite is rotting... Cut out the dead weight and get back to focusing on ability rather than the safety of numbers.

You guys are facing smaller numbers of people than yourselves that has made a EVE living doing things either by themselves or in small groups so they know how to handle themselfs outnumbered. Your guys forgot how to or you brought in corps that never knew anything about anything in the first place. The fits on your losses so far should have proven that by now.

That just my 2 cents. Take it as it is.

Also Night... from Sloth. Mind stop scamming people in locates now. I don't get complaints any more but it is still funny when i get a mail saying haha got scammed for 5 mil.

I agree with parts of your post Kane. As long as our clients are happy with the results, that's fine with me. Since Kypp and me are the only ones taking contracts, we are the only ones who know the clients and can say something about them being happy or not. You might have talked to an unhappy client or so, that's possible, but that doesn't represent our entire regular client group of 70-90. I spend 75% of my EVE time talking to clients, finding intel, giving feedback and another free week if needed etc etc. Trust me on this, most of our clients are happy clients or they wouldn't come back all the time. If people tell me I am whoring on contracts, that's total bullshit. I do not decide if clients return to us, they do. And only 5% of our current clients comes from the merc contracts channel.

But because we have very good client relations (and I often have to send clients to you, stonecold and a few other mercs we are close with), we have a lot of targets. And that made us 'lazy'. Our clients want max damage, nothing more or less. And if you have most of the targets on trade hubs and trade routes, that's where we focus on a lot. But its also boring, shooting fish in a barrel. That's why we had some talks 5-6 weeks ago, to get of the trade hubs more and roam around in small groups in the area. It was fun, but we slowly got dragged back in the old way.

The good thing about these wars with almost every single merc alliance/corp there is, is that we had to change our tactics. That takes a while before 250-300 players get it and it will increase the losses in the beginning. Some who were pure station huggers left, others adapted. Now we are back to our roots, still growing and having more fun. The burned out feeling a lot of us had, is slowly going away. Personally I dont mind the wars, it made us think again and even more happy

Only thing that is annoying, is the chest beating of some. Its like standing in front of a little annoying kid screaming how ******* awesome he is, because he can hit you, while he has his 100 brothers behind him. The same kid who runs like hell when you see him alone.
