i love it that you have no idea what you are talking about and think this is a whine thread.

fele free to hand over hisec to the wonderfully fluffy land of marshmallows and friendship if you like, but that isnt what EVE is about.

if it isnt a whine thread then why you whining son?

im just enjoying arguing with you right now. this could be about anything.

u mad, bro?

naw, i love it when i get to go into losec, our majestic opium addled leader takes us on roams, and we are generally only allowed to go home if you have killed a fleet or been killed ourselves.

cool, um.

i like long walks at sunset, and milkshakes.

but anwyay, on reasing the 'other' thread on the same subject, i'll be happy with this change if it means neutral RR have docking timers and have to deal with PVP consequences like all other ships.

Not actually being an incursion ganker myself, that part of the change while slightly annoying, i can live with if logis on station have to worry about their own hulls a bit.

While I'm surprised there was no official thread, this isn't new.

I thought this was already live and had been for a while. It was certainly talked about as a certainty many months ago (6+ I think).

Quite simple to explain.

With the War Dec Shield scenario to fix it they would have to rewrite a good chunk of the war dec mechanics, it would take ages, to leave it as it is and police it eats up too many resources so they decided to stop policing it.

However, in the RR scenario it's a small change to the code which is easily implemented.

That's the difference.

If they could easily change the mechanics of war decs to avoid dec shields then they would do so in a heart beat, they can't so they don't.

Ok, Skippy. I have one very simple question, and it is about the topic of this thread.

Why do you consider remote reps giving the pilot a warning that they will gain an aggression flag to be a nerf?

The topic for your post is "CCP Nerfed hisec RR aggression on the sly".

How is this pop-up notification a nerf to aggression?

yeah, because somethings hard, its not worth doing?

Im sure the only reason they made the recent change to war decs is that they released a whole bunch of staff that were dealing with petitions.

So they found a way of stopping the petitions rolling in instead of fixing the problem

oh well.

they better fix it before SOON

first and foremost, the thread title was designed to attract attention

and secondly, CCP always prides themselves on the ingenuity and intelligence of their players in finding 'alternative gameplay styles' (there was even a table on this at fanfest) it seems strange that they have done many things in the past six months to hurt this style of play.

not a whine, an observation.

God forbid 'hardcore PvP' players in hisec have to deal with consequences.

This isn't nerfing the game, it's making it harsher. Deal with it, or go back to making Runescape PK videos on youtube set to Nickelback.

making it harder for a pilot to make a mistake by stopping his modules for him and flashing a big warning in front of his face makes things harsher?

prey tell, how exactly?

It makes it harsher for the lazy hi sec PVPer looking for easy-peasy PVP. Did you really not know this?

also is it just me, or are the only people who use the term 'hardcore pvpers' people who run missions and nothing else?

i cant imagine anyone calling themselves a hardcore pvper unless they were joking, or stupid

you are funny, wanna run a quest with me later?

also, i hate to tell you this, but the average 'hi sec pvper' puts more effort into getting his pew pew than many losec or nulsec pilots ever do.

It was a loophole and they did close it. It was an "unwritten rule" that got repealed.

It's pray tell.

And i'm just going to ignore your strawman and state the obvious instead: people wanting to PvP in hisec will now no longer have a RR safety net, which will make things harsher for them. No longer will their RR be protected by CONCORD. If you want to RR someone, there is now risk involved. I'm not sure how many more ways i can say that.

Yes, I hear baiting PVE ships in hi sec is PVP in hard mode.
