Also, congratulations on your astute observation and your speed in becoming the fourth person today to create a thread about this.

Allow me to respond. Please grab a d6 (one six-sided die) and roll for my response:

1: Gosh, this will certainly ruin EVE forever!
2: Every other instance in EVE that gives a player aggression will notify the player first. This is a long overdue implementation. (Notice 'implementation' and not 'nerf' or 'change'?)
3: Thinly veiled griefer tears are still satisfying.
4: If this bothers you, perhaps the reason is because you lack the requisite courage and skill to survive outside of high security space.
5: This is an abused mechanic by high sec griefers and is probably the precursor to logistics ships gaining aggression. Long overdue.
6: HTFU!

OLD WAY:
Person flags (can flipping, shooting someone red, etc).
0 to 14 minutes later, Logi pilot in fleet activates their remote reps on person.
Logi pilot gains an aggression flag without receiving any kind of notice.
…and that part was supposed to have been fixed shortly after Incursion (don't remember the exact patch number), where gaining criminal flagging would trigger an immediate cut-off of any support modules and throw a warning popup, wasn't it?

The part that was fixed after Incursions was RR working on players with GCC (giving RR boat GCC-->concordokken)

I had the same confusion about CCP language as I always used criminal flags to mean GCC and aggro flags to mean....aggro.

Evidently CCP uses the opposite naming convention in the WIKI. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Criminal_Flagging_System

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.

So I have a big question for all the people complaining about hi-sec becoming friendlier to carebears - warmer and fuzzier, to coin a phrase. I don't really think it is, but my opinion doesn't speak for everyone, of course. So here's the question...

What's the problem with this, precisely?

Pieter Tuulinen > He'd be Civirely disadvantaged, Andreus.

The warmer and safer it is in hi-sec the harder it is to force your opponents to failcascade due to going bankrupt.

Lol

Aaaahaaa. So it was only for global criminal flagging, not personal criminal flagging. Ok, now it makes sense (well… apart form the bit where you have to wonder whytf they didn't include all criminal flagging in the first round Ugh).

Because the game is built on the basis of "Risk vs reward" and making safe space safer, without removing any of the reward, fundamentally changes that dynamic.

This is why a lot of the characters running highsec incursions are WH or nullsec residents who can make more money in highsec PVE with no risk, than they can in nullsec.

This "fix" basically enables complete idiots, with no ability to work out if that guy SHOULD be their logi pilot based on all the tools available to them (half the time the toons are on the ******* blacklists anyway), to be shielded by game mechanics.

It's a poor change, as it only makes it safer for idiots.

I still have one of those there-and-gone-again d30's somewhere. Can I roll that instead, and divide the result by 5 (rounding down, of course) Blink?
