I don't agree with your premise that there is a problem, however this solution wouldn't stop it either.

You just jump the JF to the lowsec system where you parked your regular freighter, swap loads, and freighter it the rest of the way to Jita.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

That's normally what I do anyway. If someone's going to gank me, I'd rather lose a ship that's at least mostly covered by the insurance.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Idea out of left field.
Place Massive taxes for everything in HIgh sec to pay for concord protectionand bump up the rewards in High sec as well.

There for all production in High sec would be costly and moving production in to Low or null sec is the only way to gain a competitive edge.
Refining Tax of 30% min no matter how good your standing
Productions Slots require some Serious Isk to produce

As a result of the cost of Taxation High sec missions, bounties etc could be the similar cost of average null sec or low sec profit.

So it will then be easier to build in Null sec and then sell in empire.....

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

Or the ubiquity of supers in game. Escorting freighters these days may not be feasible.

I had some talk about this feasability of freighters and thier escorts.

Basically it's completely futile to run an escort because the "lewt pinata" will be primary without any doubt and pop within the first 2 minuntes of an ambush due to it's thin tank and nearly no option for logistics to help that guy out as carriers (beeing caps) can't use the gates the normal freighter is forced to use. At this point it might help to give at the 0.0-gates the option to let any ship through as longer distances still will be covered via cyno (pretty sure about this). Perhaps allowing low-sec gates to transfer carriers aswell might help to close the gaps between high-sec and 0.0 where more protection might be usefull and give low-sec their own flavor of convoy.

Anyway. Letting an ambush happen is the one thing of bad scouting and so on.

But when it happens the freighter will go down with a chance of 99,99% (just a rough guess). Giving freighters at least the option to fit the infamous lock breaker module might make it a little bit more feasible to run those convoys.
It would make bomber-ambush tactics less usefull. But a well positioned dread could crack it open and be a huge target for the convoy guards in return (risk and reward thingy in my eyes).

Perhaps it needs some kind of impact to the logistics part of eve to "encourage" industrials to start producing in their neighborhood. But reducing market activity as another possible result could be fatal.

Some Sov. Items like lvl 5 up grades and the the hubs can only be done in Freighters.
The Trick is to have a supportive fleet on a roam nearby not knowing their real purpose (spies), as an honor guard scouts and escorts the freighter through.
If attacked the Honor guard holds off the attackers till the Roaming group a couple jumps out arrives.

More than Once I have been on call as the Hot drop Triage carrier on stand by in case the Freighter is attacked.
