Launcher not working? - LOOK HERE

FOLKS A LAUNCHER UPDATE HAS BEEN PUSHED!

As of 5 minutes ago CCP Launched an UPDATE!

Run normal launcher and you should recieve the patch to the patch

I ran the repair as administrator and then ran the exe file normally and that worked.

Still not getting in & not bitter about it - as others have said "**** happens!" Posting this just in case it helps Devs or other players can find a case specific solution;

Running repair tool (as admin) many times results in the same error message appearing within 2 minutes and the logfile reports:

[edited because of forum no liking the dump being pasted in original format]

Running ExeFile.exe as admin in C ...... \EVE\bin folder gives login screen with Status : Incompatible (Protocol)

Running eve.exe as admin in the C.....\EVE folder results in the following pop up window:

Quote:
No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher.

I'm more than prepared to throw in some ISK to buy the hamsters a few cans of Quafe Zero, if that will helpBlink Keep at it CCP Dev dudes and dudettes and I appreciate all your efforts, even if I don't get to play tonight.

Regarding the launcher, the update appeared to install successfully, however, I too am stuck in "offline mode".

I killed applicable processes, ran the repair tool (also appeared successful) and relaunched the program (from source, not a shortcut). The update installed again but I was still met with offline mode.

At this point, I came to the forums and downloaded the patch. Upon trying to install it (to the proper directory), I received the following errors: Error1 then after clicking OK, Error2.

Thinking there may have been a conflict between the auto and manual patch installs, I ran the repair utility then manually installed the patch again. This took care of the two errors above, but am still in offline mode.

Edit: Bypassing the launcher works, my problem is the launcher.

Im not rolling my eyes that much, just a bit bummed CCP would have this kind of problems. I have really high expectations of CCP and they have always delivered the best professional touch for running MMO and been doing really great job on it. This was just a bit unlucky to get so much compatibility issues from pretty much everyone Sad

But knowing my favorite powerhouse of developers, this is gonna get fixed and innovated in so fast pace that we won't even believe it Lol

Everyone should have the right to do mistakes, none of us are perfect and CCP cares for it's players so I think compensation is coming for everyone in some manner.

Just keep on clicking on that repair tool untill it works.

Ok i have it working again here. By the way CCP or knowledgeable EVE peeps. EVE as a folder is 17.5 gb. Is that normal it is so big?

i did that 10 times now. sorry, I expect repair to repair stuff. For me looks like repair is broken :)
