Didn't work for me, good try tho.

I've uninstalled Eve and am reinstalling.

Just hope my overview and settings are still intact, ooooooh this makes me so mad.

This fix is not working.

I went over the ExeFile.exe and it downloaded a new protocol patch. I applied that patch and it started AGAIN the launcher which AGAIN is ****** up...WTF CCP I WOULD CRY BUT I AM AT LEAST HAPPY THAT YOU DIDNT DESTROY MY WINDOWS INSTALLATION.

Seems i cant play tonight.

did what the op said and it still does not work i get this every time after it patches, no amount of repairing safe mod or starting it as admin fixes it. I am very skilled at computers this is clearly a faulty patch ccp needs to get off its arse and fix ASAP

I did want to go further and say what is wrong with ccp ? for 7 years i have watched you shove unwanted and needed "improvements" to your game and in most cases you make the game worse =)

Examples of unwanted and needed expansions that just inconvenienced your players.
1. Captain quarters
2. Incursions
3. removal of the juke box
4. PI ? do really need another step in a extremely lengthy manufacturing process ?
5. Fuel blocks... ? Again do we really need another step in an already overly complex game ?

I am all for "new" content but i an not for making "old" content like refurbished goods =)

I did all of the above and saw some one post this C:\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe this in turn work ok for me to lunch the game ok

If you run the repair tool only once it will most likely Fail

you MUST re-run the repair tool multiple times until it fixes it.

I ran it the first time it fixed it. However in testing I re-rant the launcher.

This took me 3 times on average to get the repair to apply properly. Just try again, and I hope you can all get on.

What worked for me:

Right click on Eve Icon, and select: Run as Administrator.

The file given here to download did not work. Crashed trying to deal with some .dll file. The repair tool worked. Restarted, actually opens now.

I ran the repair tool no less than 20 times, and got errors every time, but I kept trying it, and the last time it worked.
It ran through its little thing and updated the game.
Then I did Step 2 and updated game fired up. I'm in right now.

But make sure you run both files AS ADMINISTRATOR.
