Run the patcher another time without launching the game and it should fix it. This lets you in the game and does not fix the patcher...

The guide didn't help. Patch applied to right place. All instructions followed to the letter. I just get the launcher coming up saying it's in offline mode. Can't even get eve to launch by going straight to the exe in the bin folder.

Ran Repair.exe, and afterwards, got the Patcher again.

Response of blank white Launcher and Firefox opening to that DNS page is persistent.

Updated the first post, there seems to be multiple problems for people. Most important is to not to use old shortcuts on desktop or wherever and start straight from bins (exe files)

The fix in this thread did not help. I attempted to install it using the instructions and it still did not function as intended. I am using the following fix to get in:


***ATTENTION*** -- TEMPORARY FIX

Repair and play.

1) C:\CCP\EVE\repair.exe

1a) If the repairer fails - re-run multiple times until it completes.

2) C:\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe

The game should load and let you connect without issue..

DO NOT under any circumstances re-run the patcher or this will break and you will have to do it over again.

Note - This took me about 5 minutes for the repairer to run.

I had that exact problem when starting from shortcuts. Follow my steps again and I got rid that error!

you guys knew that there was something wrong with the launcher when you tried to do this crap with sisi, and now, you update the launcher for tranq and the same crap again.
test your stuff before giving people headaches.

I tried this fix, and I get some sorta big ol' error starting in;

Tried to run repair tool - it says "Errors occured" and point me to logfile.

The logfile contains the following: TypeError: __init__() takes exactly 6 arguments (2 given)

This. As of 11:00 AM CST Eve Launcher still says "Offline Mode".

You said you updated the steps. I tried again and it fails.

My way keeps working. I dunno what else to do. See, after I run the "patcher" (which reads my registry installation and goes to C:\CCP\EVE (ccps new installation path I guess) -- it auto runs the patcher and it won't work.

Even "run with administrator" doesn't work. I'm running Windows 7...

Edit:

Running repairer works, to get in game.. Running launcher will fail over and over and break eve again.

Doesn't work either for me. I just get incompatible protocol like before.

CCP, next time you decide to update/enhance/awesomify the launcher or critical log-in ... 'features', do you think you could let us know a day or so ahead of time? (re: long skills, patch day woes, etc.. )
