Question on how medical clones work

If I upgrade my clone and then get podded, do I have to upgrade again or does it stay forever?

Hmm...
Isn't that kind of a drain on high SP characters?

Only if they get podded.

Still, they're rewarding playing it safe and being a carebear.

No. They're penalizing carelessness and incentivizing competence.

Yes, and many complain but CCP have done little to help or fix it. Threads often come up because there are players with 100mil+ SP who would like to PVP in NullSec with frigates but the costs of their clones is more than the ships.

If everyone was in the same boat and everyone did combat PvP, I might agree with you but that's not how it is. So I agree with Cat Troll on this one.

If a 100 plus skill point player is complaining about clone costs, then they need to quit playing Eve & go to Hello Kitty Online.

I am getting tired of people complaining about clone costs, if by the time you hit 100 mil skill points & do not know how to make massive amounts of isk, then you need to go to Hello Kitty Online. :P

you're a troll or ill assume you are just becasue of your name, but ill give you the benefit of the doubt , if you can afford to keep a high SP toon running, you can afford to upgrade clones.

So its better for me to stay at 20-30mil SP to PvP?
Gotcha.

Wouldn't call 10mil~ high SP.
Clone costs are not a problem for me, I can easily afford that.
Its just at 150mil a pop it seems rather expensive.

well here lies the issue, why are you talking about clone costs if it doesnt affect you lol?

as i said it isnt a problem, if you can afford to keep a high sp toon going and by you i mean anyone with a high sp toon, you can afford to do something such as upgrade a clone after being podded or reaching a threshold

Not so sure about that, time is also a factor, how much time someone can spend in-game. More time in-game the more you can earn. So are you suggesting that those with not much time should buy and sell PLEX?

But I've never played Hello Kitty Online, so what did you think of it whilst you were playing it? I'm assuming you played it as you're recommending it to people.

This past weekend, it took me 30 mins to make 150 mil, because I have been playing for years & know how to make isk.

So like I said, if you get to 100 mil & do not know how to make isk, then you have been playing with the wrong people. Or not reading up on the forums because that is where I learned how to make most of my isk.

exactly my thoughts ^

which brings up a side note, if you dont know how to make isk talk to me in game. i am master of PVE, i have nearly 7k kills in eve, but just as much as I pvp, I pve.

i run level 4 nullsec missions/i incursion/ do anoms/ scanning/ all of which bring in over 100mill an over and by over i mean 100-200mill, depending on quick you are.

Manufacturing the clones by the players would be cool. Some PI materials could use some demand and how hilarious would be to see an alliance loosing a war just because a half drunk jump freighter pilot clicked on the wrong cyno with the alliance's full clone resupply in the cargo? Twisted

Than actually yes, because carebear without "care" is just a bear.
