  • Great successes don't often get less/no development time attributed to it after launch

  • The NeX stores makes so that we ourselves can't create content, we can only "create" aurum, therefore the WiS became a sterile environement where even the head of development of the Incarna had to admit they had no idea on how to implent ideas around it.

  • The clothes only work when you can see them, the devs have put estalblishment on the back burner so who is going to buy new boots?

  • Ship skins are going to be a nice addition, but will not impact the server. They'll be in the client, unless we can create our own paintjobs. I hope they won't be just bought, but earned through missions and thus a thriving market can be created for them

  • During early beta you could add your corplogo to your ship and alliance logo's are projected through your SOV claim unit.

What you fail to realize and what you don't know and will never know is how much increased cashflow CCP has seen from NeX. For all we know it could be more since it is all done through PLEX. You don't know and neither do I. Stop making assumptions and speculations. You also have no idea how many subs were actually lost. So your number could be more or less.

CCP itself is admitting that NeX / Incarna is a failure. No way a company does that if its making significant net income from it and as we've seen its not only failing to break even its hurt CCP's income enough that they needed layoffs to balance the books.

This thread is also completely off topic now. I don't give a damn where ship skins are sold from or if they are made by the players or not. They are a cosmetic item and frankly they belong in NeX as that is what the community demanded NeX only be for. I don't care either way. As for Nebulae...I want them.

No. The community wanted NO Microtransactions AT ALL in the crowdsourced polls that ran. The CSM flip-flopped and rolled belly up on the issue and let Zinfandel and $1000 dollar jeans talk them into "vaniity only". NeX is probably the second most unpopular feature eve has ever had (after removal of the old hanger) . The argument that some items are "cosmetic" (and therefore shoud not be provided within the subscription is a corrosive, dishonest and ultimately self-destructive one and I dearly hope that ccp management has learned its lesson and will not be listening to people like you.

Do you support the introduction of more Microtransactions ingame?

Please post "Yes", "No" or "Cosmetic Only"

In support of the NO VOTES I have resigned from the CSM as 1st alternate
SAY NO TO MICROTRANSACTIONS, KEEP EVE AWESOME!
LAST TALLY: NO 79.03% | YES 5.02% | COSMETIC ONLY 11.23% | OTHER 4.73%

So crowd-sourced straw poll on the issue prior to all the other issues with incarna launch shows a clear message that only 5% of eve players wanted microtransactions, only 16% were happy with cosmetic only microtransactions and almost 80% wanted nothing whatsoever to do with them in this game.

Couldn't agree more. Incarna has the potential to be a great tie in to the classic EVE if done right. NeX has the potential to wreck the game.

Increase subs and keep PLEX - there should be a way to make plenty out of those to keep development and profit coming in.

No...YOU and a few others wanted NO microtransactions. Even with that thread you are a small minority compared to the rest of the player base and still small compared to the player base that reads and writes to the forums. Also show proof where CCP admitted that Incarna or NeX was a failure. All I saw was CCP caving to a bunch of whiny little ***** on a forum. Stop assuming what you want is what everybody wants. A pathetic crowd source that most people (including myself) didn't bother to even read and which is filled with many peoples 20 alts is hardly evidence at all.

Vertisce Soritenshi,

have you ever talked to a single player ingame about the NeX store ?

after coming back to eve after a year of absence and talking to a lot of guys ingame, on forums and on teamspeaki could not find a single one (but you) who seems to like the idea of microtransactions

Look at how you pull the wool over your own eyes.
They don't even need to be microtransactions.
ISK -> PLEX -> AUR

You obviously haven't looked very hard then. Ive spoken with many people both in game and IRL that play EvE and I have seen both sides of the fence. Those that are against MT have no idea why they don't want it other than they don't like it and fear what it MIGHT bring. Those that are against it are also few in number. The majority of those I have spoken with and likely those I will speak to in the future could care less either way as they can simply ignore it if they don't want it.

Frankly I could care less either way as well but I see no reason to not have microtransactions and I also support CCP as a company and wish to see them succeed and make more money and a better game. MT makes CCP more money.

I think that is EXACTLY the plan.

They want to allow you to purchase a ship SKIN (visual skin only) in the NEX. The ship will remain exactly as normal only the appearance (call it a paintjob) would change. I think during the Alliance Tournament 9 it was discussed a little in between matches.

They also discussed the ability for alliance/corp members to purchase an alliance/corp logo to place on their ship "paint job". I think that idea is killer. Very cool to see in game play and in videos a fleet flying with their own corp logo on them all, or an alliance flying with several corp logos represented.

As the DEV above mentioned, we will just have to be patient and look forward to the upcoming blog or vblog

Excellent idea, and dead on arrival if it costs as much as a month's subscription and is destructible.

So you are claiming that everybody who didn't register an opinion is PRO MT/NEX then? Thats a laughable position to take makes a mockery of your interjection here.

Polls reflect public opinion. Sure they are not always 100% reliable but they are a hellova lot more reliable than some MT/NEX suckup trying to tell us that the vast silent majority is in favour of getting nickel and dimed out of content despite subscriptions dropping through the floor this summer.
