Nebulae - Ship Skins

I'm waiting for a dev blog about this stuff, do someone know if it's part of the Winter Expansion?

I noticed that in the Winter Expansion page there are ships with different skins in the background, so, any hope?

This is the result of a big project from our very talented artists and it would be best for you to read it in a Dev Blog or see it in a future video blog. This blog will be with you in the next few weeks.

Was there any word on nebulae anywhere but fanfest? I don't think so, please please correct me if i'm wrong.

I think that is EXACTLY the plan.

They want to allow you to purchase a ship SKIN (visual skin only) in the NEX. The ship will remain exactly as normal only the appearance (call it a paintjob) would change. I think during the Alliance Tournament 9 it was discussed a little in between matches.

They also discussed the ability for alliance/corp members to purchase an alliance/corp logo to place on their ship "paint job". I think that idea is killer. Very cool to see in game play and in videos a fleet flying with their own corp logo on them all, or an alliance flying with several corp logos represented.

As the DEV above mentioned, we will just have to be patient and look forward to the upcoming blog or vblog

It's a waste of content if not for free.
The NeX will start to be a huge part of the game, and this, in my opinion, makes it look less actractive for new players.
So, less NeX = more money.

oh man didn't saw that had changed their minisite to winter, background is interesting...

does the ship on the top right is a brutix hull ?
can't see what are the others, and i don't see the tornado here

It also looks like you are editing all the ship engines to have that cool "glow" effect most easily noticed on the Scorpion as well? That would be awsome at least.

Brutix, Navitas, Tristan, Atron and a little Incursus.
Gallente theme = Hybrid Buff :D

but the others 2... i don't see, one is too small to see, but the last one at the bottom i really do'nt recognize this hull

Wha? I see the new engine effects, but the image is completely devoid of trails.

I noticed that the engine glow is quite different from from the ingame effect.

....as if 10,058 Goon voices cried out and were suddenly silenced.

Yes let's see if they continue to listen to some supposed expert and put additional things in the NEX store. CCP's name is already a joke regarding the NEX store in the wider MMO gaming community.

So many additional gameplay elements could have been implemented regarding clothing, ship painting, etc, but instead we got the ill conceived NEX store.

Nex (Cash Shop) / Aurum - removing sand from the sandbox since Incarna. Currently the only use for aurum is to buy virtual items in the in-game store, but Cockerill expects to expand its uses in the future.
