What is the standing increase for a pirate faction (gurista or angel) if the arc is started through an empire agent (caldari or gallente for gurista, minmatar or amarr for angels)?

Pisov viet,

That's a good question.

The Faction standing gain for completing the level 3 Pirate Epic Arc's is the same no matter which starting agent is used. Those Empire Agents are basically 'Double Agents', working for both Empire and Pirate Factions. With no Social skill trained, the base amount of Faction Standing gained for completing the level 3 Pirate Epic Arc's is +30.00% increase.

The 3 starting agents for each Pirate Epic Arc are set up to enable the player easy access, nothing more. +3.00 standing is required for access. If using Corporation standing for access, the Faction must be above -2.00 standing.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Epic_mission_arcs#Rewards

Hope that info helps. Good luck to you and thanks for posting.

And the adventure continues! :-)

Update 3

What's done so far?

Sisters of EVE Epic Arc (Caldari) x2
Caldari Career Agents (all 15)
Caldari Circle Agents
Caldari Data Center Agents
► Graduation Cert Missions (all 3)
► Copper Tags (all 9 handed in)
► Graduation Cert follow up Missions (The Celestial Imperative from Aviekko Ta and the Valuable Records from Kikko Roisen)
► Courier Missions
Level 1 Caldari COSMOS Agents
Level 1 Gallente COSMOS Agents

Skills: Connections, Diplomacy, Negotiations, Social ► all are at Level 3

Faction standings after all of the above (base standing followed by modified standing, amount of change since last update in parentheses)

Amarr Empire 0.43 (▲ 0.59) 1.5784 (▲ 0.5192)
Caldari State 3.68 (▲ 1.42) 4.4384 (▲ 1.2496)
Gallente Federation -0.82 (▼ -0.48) 0.4784 (▼ -0.4224)
Minmatar Republic 0.49 (▼ -0.21) 1.6312 (▼ -0.1848)
Ammatar Mandate 2.07 (▲ 0.74) 3.0216 (▲ 0.6512)
Khanid Kingdom 2.31 (▲ 0.72) 3.2328 (▲ 0.6336)
The Interbus 1.55 (▲ 0.13) 2.564 (▲ 0.1144)

Observations:

Circle Agents: more than one Circle Agent gave Caldari Faction Standing, not just one. The missions that gave faction standing increase were: Tobacco Run, From Development To Publishing, To Create Silicate Glass You Need..., For The Army as evidenced by this screenshot.

Data Center Agents: to complete all of the pirate tag missions of the Data Center Agents (Levels 1 through 4) for all of the 4 empire factions, we need 936 pcs of various pirate tags. At current Jita prices, these tags require an investment around the ballpark of 2 billion ISK. 200 pcs out of these 936 pcs of pirate tags are responsible for 84% of this money. These are: Guristas Brass and Bronze Tags; Blood Bronze and Gold Tags; Serpentis Brass and Gold Tags; Angel Brass Tags; Sansha Brass, Bronze and Gold Tags. These can be bought for about 1,6 billion ISK, while the other 736 pcs of tags needed can be bought for about 300 million ISK. As you can see, the biggest money dump is required mainly for tags that are collected by the lower level agents. For now I'm of the opinion that there is no way in bloody hell that I'll shell out 1,6 billion for the expensive tags. I'll only buy the somewhat cheaper ones. With a cost of 300 million I can live with, but 1,6 billion?? Seriously? No way. So in this regard I think I'll not be able to follow the Plan to the letter, but I hope it will not "unbalance" it that much, but we'll see.

The Data Center Graduation Certificates all send you to the same agent, Aviekko Ta (as described in the Plan). She gives you a 5 part mission chain. On the 4th mission of this chain you meet another event agent, Kikko Roisen, who gives you a 2 part mission chain. The last missions of both of these chains give faction increase. The mission Kikko Roisen gives you, specifically warns you in the description that you will lose face with the Caldari State if you complete its objective. However this in fact is not true, there are no standing losses incurred at all, you only get faction increase even though you need to destroy Caldari Navy ships in the mission (see this screenshot for proof ► the standing losses in this screenshot were due to the 2 storyline missions the Sisters of EVE gave me during the course of my recent run of the SOE Epic Arc).

Next up: the Amarr Career Agents and beyond. Until my next update of my adventures with the Plan: Fly safe! :-)

This might be due to the current bug with no combat kill losses though. So be careful if they ever fix this "bug."

Larenon en Marland, that's a very impressive reply you posted. I'm glad 'The Plan' is working for you. As I've said before, it can be customized and worked to fit each players specific situation.

That being said, I'm going to address this part of it.

The Social skill should definitely be trained up, especially since it increases the amount of standing gained for completing missions. Next would be the Connections skill which raises your current positive standing enabling easier access to higher level agents. After that I'd probably raise Negotiation to increase the ISK reward and then Diplomacy to raise the negative standings.

Since I don't know what your actual plan entails or what your goal is, I will go with the premise that you want to be positive with all Empire Factions. After looking at your standings, probably be a good idea to run some Gallente Event Agent missions due to Caldari standing being so high.

Now about having multiple Circle Agents in the chain give out Faction standing increase, gratz. Maybe they were changed recently. Either that or it's due to a bug. If it is a bug, then the error is definitely in your favor.

As for Data Center tags, yes they are indeed expensive.

However, to get the best price for them, ask friends in Corp chat if they have some available. Most players will have a few sitting in various stations and will sell them for a very reasonable price. Also have friends do a price check in various regions. Of course don't forget to check public contracts as well. Another thing to remember is to check all rat wrecks. Usually there will be a couple of tags to collect. May not be what you're actually looking for but they can always be sold to help pay for the tags you need.

Once again, thank you very much for posting and definitely keep us updated.

I agree, it's most definitely a bug that appeared with the new NPC AI expansion. No idea how long it'll be active so best keep a watchful eye open for any info pertaining to NPC's.

First, I'd like to say that this is a fantastic guide and one I hope to put into full effect. However...

My character has been a Very Naughty Boy™ (i.e. sub -5.0) in the past and is not in a very good situation at the moment: sub 5mil in total assets and wealth with a single Reaper and misc equipment in other hangars around the galaxy. That single Reaper is in-station at a .7 system and the chances of getting away safely are very slim. I've been able to set up a clone in a near-by 0.3 system that I'll probably end up reanimating to in the near future.

What are my options here?

Shame on you....................................

Well, I'll try to help out as best I can.

Your situation isn't as bad as it seems, Rookie ship's automatically spawn, free of charge, for capsuleers who dock their pod in any NPC station where they have no ships. Also if you haven't completed all of the Career Agents for your 'Friendly' Faction (15 agents available per Faction), you can get the various Tech 1 Frigates from them for free.

Dag Tolar wrote:

DT

It would be very helpful if I knew exactly what your standings are and what Social skills you have trained.

Anyway, train up Diplomacy skill asap. Hopefully that will get you up above -5.00 Faction standing so you won't be attacked by Navy NPC's. If not, you can just travel to 'Friendly' space in your pod, dock in any NPC station and get another Rookie ship for free.

Now about the Faction standings:

Hopefully one of the 'Unfriendly' negative Empire Factions is above -5.00 standing. If so, start working the Event Agents listed in 'The Plan' for that Faction. The derived standing increase you gain will eventually raise the lowest / worst Faction standing and when it get's above -5.00 standing, switch over and start working their Event Agents.

If all 'Unfriendly' Empire Factions are still -5.00 or lower, find a Corporation belonging to the 'Unfriendly' Empire Factions located in your 'Friendly' positive Factions space. Complete missions (16 + Storyline) for a Level 1 Agent (available regardless of standings) until one of the negative 'Unfriendly' Empire Factions is above -5.00 standing, then work 'The Plan'.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Hope this reply helps you and good luck working 'The Plan'.

cinefilul, thanks for posting.

Lucky thing you included the Agents name, made it easy to find out you're talking about the Circle Agents.

After looking at the Amarr Circle Agents I think you might be mistaken about not getting the Faction standing increase. Hopefully you started the Circle Agents with the initial starting agent - Ain Ikani.

Korini Nakan is the 3rd Circle Agent. The Faction Standing increase is gained from the 2nd Circle Agent - Ilia Abazen - for the mission 'The Carthum Executive'. I'm thinking you might have already completed it and just don't remember it.

Open character sheet - select 'Standings' - 'Liked by' tab - right click and 'Show Transactions' on Amarr Empire.

The mission name should be listed with date, time and amount of increase gained. If it's not listed, 'Show Transactions' on the Corp - Carthum Conglomerate. If it's not listed there, hopefully you haven't done the mission yet. However, I think the list only goes back for 1 year which might be another reason why the mission isn't listed.

Show info on the agent and check standings tab in the agent info box. If there's a positive standing listed, then you've already completed mission for that agent. If there's a negative standing, then you failed the mission. If neutral standing of 0.00 is listed, then you haven't worked for that agent.

The only other explanation is a bug.

As for your question, you can try these three steps :

1. Talk to that specific agent again.
2. Start the chain over again with the first agent.
3. File a petition in-game.

Good luck to you.

Thank's DMS. I've seen that I have completed that mission, but i didn't go to the end of the chain. Thant's I wander if the faction standing was gain. I hav made investigations and it seems that I have completted that mission in 2011. :)

Gratz on getting an answer.

However, I'm a bit confused.

Is this the agent and mission you completed in 2011?
Quote:
The Faction Standing increase is gained from the 2nd Circle Agent - Ilia Abazen - for the mission 'The Carthum Executive'.
If so, then yeah, there's no need to continue with the Amarr Circle Agents since the Faction standing increase can only be gained once.

If you're referring to the 3rd agent in the circle - Korini Nakan - he doesn't matter. The Circle Agent - Ilia Abazen - is the one to check.

Hi there,

I had check it again and the mission appear in the Cartum Conglomerate, but it doesn't appear in the Ilia Abazen transactions.
With Ilia Abazen, I have only the Robotics missions completted.
Can I find somewhere If I had refuse it or not?

Hi cinefilul,

I thought you said the mission - 'The Carthum Executive' - was completed in 2011. If it's listed in the Corporation transactions, then it should also be listed in the Faction transactions.

If not, then the first thing to do is go talk to the agent - Ilia Abazen - and see if that mission is offered to you.

After that the only other option I can think of is to file a petition in game. CCP can easily check the info and or have the agent offer the mission if you haven't already completed it.

The actual amount of Faction standing increase from that mission is rather small so you're not missing a crucial amount of standing gain if you're not allowed to work that mission for some unknown reason. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Thx very very much for your work. It is really great what you have done here! Amazing!

I have one question though (i didn't find exact answer):

1. Career agents: Do they still give standings? I think I heard that it is not anymore the case. (also is there a way to check if I already done some of these missions in the past?)

2. If yes, how to access them? Should I go to the agent systems and do it for every race in every system listed (i see that you listed them on wiki page) or should I access them through the help window (in that case will I get only my faction career missions or it will be also available through help window for other factions)?

Thx in advance and sorry for noob questions.

Ahh one more question.

Epic arcs for major factions that can be done every 3 months. Do they generate negative standing toward opposite factions?

Thx agan.

IgiK,

You're welcome and thank you for the compliments. No need to be sorry for asking questions, Information is King and Conversation is it's Queen.

1. Career Agents give a Faction standing increase for completing their mission series. If no Faction standing gain is received, file a petition in-game - F12 key.

The best way is to check info on the agent. In the agent info box select the standings tab. If it shows a neutral standing from the agent towards you, then you haven't done any missions for that specific agent. You can then cross reference that agent by checking your own standings section in the character sheet and see if the agent is listed. You can also select 'Show Transactions' on the agent.

The easiest way to know if you've already worked for those Agents is talk to them. Of course this entails a lot of traveling and be prepared to complete their missions if offered.

NOTE: Talking or accessing agents use to be the norm but changes / bugs within the past couple of years has now made it risky to just talk to Event Agents. There's a possibility of being locked out from access due to declining the offer as well as forgetting to accept the offer within a week.

The most definite way to know is from CCP via in-game petition. Use this option as a last resort after first checking standings and then talking to agent, especially if you think you've never accessed that agent.

2. The 'Show Career Agents' option in the F12 Help window will list Career Agents that are located near your current location. That might not be beneficial to your specific situation as it doesn't list all of the Career Agents available to you. The Evelopedia page - Career Agents - is good to use since it lists all Career Agents and their locations.

I'm not sure but the in-game 'Agent Finder' could be another option to view all Career Agents that are available to you.

Epic Arcs - The only negative standings incurred is from aggression for ship kills. There's only a few negative hits and the amount is very small when compared to the positive standing gained for completing them. Being able to complete them every 3 months makes them a very worthwhile option to pursue.

I hope this answers your questions and thank you for posting.

Royaldo,

Yes, If your friend follows 'The Plan', he can easily fix the Gallente and Minmatar negative Faction standings. Since he's at -6.00 standing, he should first stop killing Gallente / Minmatar NPC's as well as train the skill - Diplomacy - to level 5 asap.

If that skill is already trained up to level 5, then he needs to run some regular level 1 missions + storylines for Gallente or Minmatar agents located in Amarr, Ammatar or Caldari space. When he get's either Gallente or Minmatar Factions up above -5.00 standing, he can then start working the Gallente or Minmatar Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

To increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions, train up the skill - Social - to level 5 asap.

Good luck to your friend and thanks for posting.

It also happens that a perfect -10 turns into a -6 after lvl5 diplomacy. If that's the case, not so easy as training a skill to stop getting shot at, and it would be better to grind up to lvl3/4 SOE rather than grinding Gallante/Minmatar lvl1s in Amar/Caldari space forever.
