Lose that windows 8 and install XP or it WILL nom all your RAM and you will have issues. With XP you could probably run 2 clients on low settings.

EDIT: Never mind all that. the graphics chip doesn't have Shader Model 3.0. Won't run at all, ever.

Screw XP, why not be even more ******** and use Windows 95. Theres very little reason a person should be using XP over windows 7/8, (inb4 generic comment from biased inaccurate article) AND theres an even lesser reason to have a less than SM 5 gfx card.

I gave a good reason you moron. XP is the tool for the job when you're working with low amounts of RAM. >4GB and sure, get some 64bit windows 7 or 8, but below 4GB these new, "improved" versions just waste significant amounts of resources.

One of my oldest comps has a single core, running windows 7 and it can handle 3 clients on low with apps and **** in the background, if you are having RAM issues you probably downloaded one of those annoying free programs to clean the registry like ccleaner or even worse AVG / McAfee, which do all sorts of crap to performance.

Try finding out whats causing RAM issues before blaming the OS

Edit: Please explain why anyone would even consider installing a 64bit OS on a comp with less than 4GB of RAM, you may as well install windows server and sql server while you are at it. Besides he said he is running a 32bit version

There shouldn't be a problem installing EVE onto the laptop and trying to play it.

To my estimate that laptop can run EVE using lowest graphics settings, since its quite low specs.

However the graphics card isn't that good and the CPU isn't too powerful.

Best thing to do is install EVE onto the laptop and try it on the lowest graphics settings, best to give it a try and see if it works.

You will be able to use it to play EVE, but expect your graphics driver to crash during session changes, and for the laptop to lockup, overheat and shutdown when using TS3 and EVE at the same time.

Shouldn't have too many issues doing solo stuff, and a laptop is just fine for station trading.

Why u no likey Crap Cleaner?

Granted, I've never used it for the registry, only as a tool for clearing parts of cached materials while leaving others untouched.... but I've never seen an issue.

Is there something I should know?

Forget it, the GMA950 only supports pixel shader model 3 in software. If you manage to get more than 30fps on a single client with ALL the eye candy turned off it'll be a miracle.

Not even with the lowest settings? Sad

Was it the FPS lagging a lot or just crashes when you open it?

It's the onboard graphics it starts eve then it minimizes it and won't open it again.

I was thinking since the graphics card had a Display graphics of 256mb it would probably have a chance. But it is a very weak graphics card anyway.

Seems like you are going to have to buy a new PC asap now...

If you have newest drivers and that happened, than you need new computer. I have one laptop with very similar specifications, processor, ram, but graphic card is Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS, and i am runing XP 32bit. It works rather smoothly on medium, but without AA and shadows.

But the graphics card on your computer is more powerful than the one he has shown.

Yeah if he hasn't gotten the latest graphics drivers, get the newest drivers and if it still doesn't work... then it wont work.
