LOGISTICS

- Logistics on kill mails already!
- Logi ships get on KM through aggression inherited by repping friendlies who deal damage to the victim of the KM.
- Maybe eventually Logistics could contribute to battle reports by displaying how much HP of rep was applied to each fleet member when they were killed so breaking reps can be seen, etc.
- Coloured ring around target pizzas reflecting friendly (blue), fleet (purple), hostile (red).
- Ability to configure targets automatically organising into rows dependant on fleet, hostile, etc.
- 'Green boxing' to show when being repped by logistics.

INDUSTRIAL / FINANCE

- Similar mining laser crystal icons clearer to differentiate.
- Mining laser colour reflects crystal loaded.
- Simplify contracts creation procedure into a single window, rather than a set of next/previous step boxes. It's easy to make mistakes with current system.
- Once asteroids are scanned, their remaining ore amount is shown on screen as a number and arrow connected in space to the asteroid.

INTERFACE

- Remove the cirular dot-button menu which appears when you click-hold. Does anybody use this?? It's prone to accidental commands.
- Options to allow fitting window to be configured to show HP, EHP, etc. as is so common with 3rd party fitting tools.
- Right click stack of turrets and option to fit all to ship (up to max allowed of course).
- Module activation mouse-over tooltip window also contains buttons for alternative ammo as present in cargo hold.
- Overhaul the overheat interface. The activation bars are too fiddly, the overload rack icons are too small, it's impossible to see damage to modules until it's at 2-3 bars already, etc. etc.
- Drone damage visible for docked drones, auto expand to see drones in space.
- Drone launch shortcut, assignable by group.
- Scan probes can be moved in predefined arrangements and scaled collectively. Button to auto-move scan probe pattern to centre on selected signature.
- Titan bridge / Jump bridge can be activated via button which appears in overview when in range of active Titan or JB when in range.

GENERAL

- Remove having to pause skill training when clone jumping - auto pause on jump, and auto recalculate and reactive on arrival - simples.
- Same for implant installation.
- Ability to orientate chat windows horizontally, eg. players in channel / local reorganise into columns on the right hand side of the chat window when it is a certain width.

NAVIGATION

- Option to toggle undock ship at standstill.
- Ability to set autopilot settings such as avoidance, prefer shorter, prefer safer without having to go into the map. Big smile
- Enable short-cut keys for some navigation commands (such as orbit, approach) to not require the target to be clicked if already selected.
- In relation to the above, when a target is selected, hitting 'W' will make you orbit at preset range. Add ability to click 'shift-W' (for example) to immediately bring up a type-in box to type in range straight away.
- Allow orbit, keep at range, distance sliders always visible in overview nav bar, with live feedback.
- Add toggleable graphics similar in style to the tactical overlay to show distances from targets, direction arrows, transversal, radial, velocity info on screen. (perhaps not such a little thing) but ship control should be more visually tied to the screen in general (see homeworld 2).
- Allow D-Scan to be configured to use either km or AU. Same with overview. There's no reason for the current inconsistency other than slowing down a core game function.

FLEET

- Fleet button on EVE bar can be set to flash when new joinable fleets are established.
- More contacts on watchlist, and ability to add all in a particular chat channel to WL at once.
- Fleet membership and watchlist contents persist on disconnect and re-establish on reconnect.
- Larger fleet broadcast buttons.

GRAPHICS

- Refine hardpoint placements on ship hills. Many turrets look very odd on some ship models, often shooting through or colliding with the hulls as they rotate. Big smile
- Too many ship engine shader decals cut through the ship models from certain angles. Just looks weird.

I know it's not a little thing really but the manner in which we launch and control drones is annoying. I know you guys were interested in potentially having a dedicated module (maybe a bit like probes?) and I can see the issues with implementing that (takes up another slot; would clicking it just launch the drones, or be able to recall them; or would it be able to engage targets too? ; would launching different drone sizes be an issue; or could it work like a weapon launcher/turret with 'reload' and select different type etc?)

Also, I often find when one sets drones to aggressive, they don't actually automatically engage a target, and if you're up against Guristas in particular, that's annoying Roll

I feel like this:
Guristas start doing their thing, lose lock, my dronies are just sitting there 'idle'. I'm thinking 'Com'on lazy dronies!!!' and 'Be Aggressive!! Be - Be Aggressive!! * \o *\o/* o/* *\o/* o/* *lots of cheerleading ensues*

Please add a counter that shows you how many systems you have visted

The Map has a filter that will show you which systems, but not the number

I love flitting around trying to visit them all. Adding to all those red circles is a nice little meta game. Although Null sec is going to be interesting.....

Make it possible for people to see others "#number systemsvisited" stats

Will also help get people rotating out of their usual holes. Perhaps give a mild bonus of some kind for % of systems visted.... i.e. increased speed/agility for "wisdon gained rthrough knowledge of the galaxy..."

Uh... a thread from 2011 and it's still active? Or revived perhaps?

I doubt that the devs still follow it but anyway...

I recently returned to the game and I noticed that you're now able to for example warp to a stargate and jump through it by simply clicking jump.

Same thing when you're nearby but slightly out of range, press jump and you'll approach and then jump.

While I don't doubt that the intention of this feature is good, it causes a problem, because you don't actually know whether you're in range or not!

Before, you didn't have the jump option until you were in range, so it was easy to tell when you were able to jump.

So, my suggestion is this :

* When in range, keep it as it is now.
* When out of range, change the text to "Approach and jump" or "Warp to and jump" or similar.

(Same issue with docking and deadspace entry activation.)

- Add some radiation and thermic damage coming from suns. Even at minimal output it would make Eve feeling more real.

- Add some gravitational force, in terms of influencing your mass (and therefore your speed), depending on range and mass of the large stellar objects like suns, planets or moons. Following this example there maybe is a way to introduce some black holes, since they are a common phenomenon in our own universe, but there are none in Eve, where even Wormholes are common sightings.

- Please think about the option making the Polaris Legatus a flyable ship (lowering the resistances and the like), like a Concord vessel with all four racial skills needed, given for the final Epic Ark missions or whatever. Just like you did to the Gnosis. This IS (at least in my opinion) one of the best looking ships in the game and like I said they are already there, V3'ed and so on. Maybe the devs don't like the idea, because it's symmetrical Big smile

- Where are the Corporation / Alliance Paintings on ships you mentioned some months ago ? Canceled, frozen ?

- Add some faction Tier 2 Battlecruisers since they are completly overhauled and there are Tier 3 already.

- And a serious thing, that is gamebreaking in my opinion, is an issue with time dialation. While I don't want to discuss the ethics of blobbing here, it is obvious that the possibility to get reinforcements from systems far away, lets say 30 minutes time for the way, (re)entering fights that actually took five to ten minutes of realtime thanks to time dialation, is far to overpowered. I think there is a big need of giving stargate access in relation of the real time the fights went on since jumping out of the hot system. Another point would be the count of jumps made till entering the hot system.

- Add at least a few extraordinary systems to normal space, so that everyone can see the full glory of Eve. Maybe with reduced effects, so to say, mini Quasars or Binary Star systems. Of course for the eye, but also for variety. This would also make Eve feeling more real.

- Are the viewable shield, structure and hull damage still in development ? Are we going to see them this year ?

- Please let other people see a ship burn when it's hull is damaged. That only needs a zero be changed to a one I guess.

Little things: I wonder how many of these already have options for that I just can't find =-P

-Currently the open folder in my market window will close once I buy something from that folder. It would be nice if I could stop that from happening.

-If I have a couple of waypoints in autopilot and go through a system with two gates on the route I get confused as to which one I need. Could they be numbered or something?

-Toggle options for all warning windows and clearer labeling in the esc menu for those warnings. The warning for breaking a weapon group every time that I want to offline a gun or pull a couple off of the ship is just infuriating.

-waste basket buffer for trashed items. This would save you guys a few petitions and let players be a little less careful when trashing stuff.

-Over view column that indicates speed at which range is closing. It would be very helpful to see, and sort by who is approaching fastest.

-Ability to write notes for jump clones that would show up on the JC menu next to the implants installed. Sometimes I will jump from a strange system and then forget what that JC is for or where it needs to be.

-Ability for 2 or more friends to dock and create a temp clone for you in their current station. I've missed a lot of good times just because of too many jumps. And while I like the fact that New Eden is a big place that shouldn't get in the way of players hanging out with their friends, that's a big part of why we play.

-Low graphics option for character creation: that lags my comp badly enough that I don't like to do it.

-Transparency settings for individual windows.

-Ability to choose different rookie ship, maybe as an award for completing an epic arc or just unlock new ships once a characters faction is high enough with that empire.

-I love the Eve story, would love to see more of the backstory and ongoing news accessible from in game; maybe certain items could have an audio track that tells a little story about New Eden, or a text block that shows up when you look at items. Just something to go over instead of ship spinning.

-The new sounds are great, that was an area that needed some work. But changes that take away options like the jukebox are...grrr.


Anyway; you guys do a great job of balancing the convenience desires of the players with the need of the interface to be challenging and to have a feeling of complexity and vastness to the game space. The chat windows are great; easy to open, join, or close. And the "clear all content" option rocks.

Love the way that hovering over a module shows details and the faint lines that indicate target are brilliant.

Also the Concord "sorry for the loss of your corp mate" mails are just great, I always get a good chuckle out of them.

Keep up the great work and thanks for your time.

So much work was spent on the animations for weapons. Launchers, guns, and other high-slot modules all came with shiny new online/offline animations.

The original plan by CCP was to have them stay 'closed' until you target something then pop out as you begin target locking something. That idea was scrapped because of insta-lock ships using pre-fire, because the animations would not be finished in time for the first volley, or they'd have to be sped up.

Now, we only see the animations when offlining or onlining the modules, or when entering/exiting warp. So here is an idea:

Allow manual toggle of the module's offline or online states, without actually turning off the modules in question.


  • Add a keystroke combination when clicking weapon groups or utility turrets that will 'hide' or 'deploy' them. Locking a target always overrides these commands.
  • Add a small mini-button somewhere on the module buttons, similar to the 'overheat' green light. Maybe add a blue light on the underside.
  • Allow manual toggling of the original CCP idea within the settings menu, or somewhere else in the UI. Some people might be happy with the instalock glitch.


I think it would be a great idea for us to try using this feature. It may even be useful to feign 'offline weapons' before a sneak attack or something, or for roleplayers.

Wow... old topic, buuut since people are still responding...

Ability to set up custom keybinds... such as linking launching a drone group to a specific key.

Sisters of EVE EVE Gate Pilgrimage memorial that people can sign to replace the cans that once littered the place. Plus a short little mission from the sisters that leads there, giving a short bit of backstory behind it.
