They for just one week united, split up areas and claimed Belts in hisec and took all the ore/isk from the bots and miners.

No, you're right. Every once in a while, you do get some people who question the point or meaning of anything. Sure, eve is a game. So is life, just a slightly different ruleset, in a different medium. But feel free to doubt the worth placed on anything by anyone. Infact, how do you know you are even real? what if you are just a figment of my imagination? None of this really exists. The only way to wake up, is to jump off the cliff. Jump off the cliff, and you will wake up.

Normally I would agree that this is probably some BS thought up by mittens for one reason or another. There is one possibility I can't discount though, and it makes a TEST / Goon war at least possible in my mind:

Given that TEST has ambitions to conquer EvE nullsec as BoB almost did, and given that Mittens knows this, it makes sense for TEST, when the time is appropriate, to strike out on their own. TEST has been flying under the Goon's wing since I first heard about them. Both the goons and test deny this to spare the test ego, but it's basically true. It's like the difference between someone who carries a pistol and someone who doesn't. If you are unarmed, you probably won't talk so much **** to the big guys at a bar. If, however, you know you have that piece of mind, you might be emboldened. Now TEST is no joke. They have some mussel. However, the longer they are with the goons, the longer the goons have to infiltrate them (in a friendly way) and coax sympathy from TEST and allied member for the goon cause. It's a slow burn and it ensures TEST never comes into it's own. Mittens and Montolio both seem like ego maniacs. They want control over one another.

Mittens has done a lot of smack and I'll bet he'd be damned before he let TEST equal the Goons in pull. Mittens doesn't want to negotiate with his own people. He just wants to give the orders. I'm sure Montolio is no different. So, in this clash of egos can both win? Ultimately, I think not. On some level I have to think these two guys have considered this already, and whatever contingency plans to deal with this contingency need to be made on both sides have probably already been made. So then... it's not really a question in my mind of if but of when. Does TEST go now, at the peak of it's power when it's members are chomping at the bit to sink FA, or does it wait until their Alliances have been worn down by the Goons to the point where they HAVE to act? That I can't say. It depends on how far out TEST are playing. Could all of this be a bunch of BS TEST and the Goons are pulling to put some other alliance off their guard? Sure. I guess the proof will be in the killmails. I just wonder if Montolio has genuine ambition, how much time he thinks he has.

Edit: Yah it was in this chatlog on EvE News 24 (for what that's worth). Who knows... it could all be bull****. ...and what the hell do I know anyway? I'm just a casual outside observer. I would imagine TEST knows what TEST is going to do better than Gogela.

You do realize that both TEST and Goonswarm provide API verified financier audits to their general membership right? And that we started doing this specifically because some of our allies were dumping all of their moon isk into various peoples wallets without letting their people see any of it.

I mean one time Mittens used the alliance wallet to buy a sabre but honestly I'm ok with that.

Hey guys this speculation is useless. Just thought I'd let you know that. I know you won't listen, but this thread has the nutritional value of the giant **** I just took.

If a HBC/CFC war happens, the HBC will shoot first, and the CFC is not keen on giving up the north. The HBC won't even stand a chance without Pandemic Legion support, and I would hope their leadership would be smarter than to follow a mentally deteriorating Montolio and his awful diplomat, Bring Stability, into the maw of Fade and Deklein.

There is nothing that's public but sabre-rattling propaganda and a few year-old damning chat-logs. We're already winning that war. Diplomatically, most people are working around Montolio to make sure nothing happens.

Don't heat your popcorn until Montolio accidentally reinforces a tower in CFC space. ****'s not happening otherwise.
