Titans-Supers-Carriers-Dreads? Changes we should look at this time around...

Here are some changes we could look at to see something new?
Fellow the order of which Capital you like to see change about them! (1-3) only per capital!




Titans?Well I would like to see them do a bit more! Add some new modular just a titian can do for a fleet!

1) Area Effect type doomsday when a titian dyes?
2) E-War Area Effect = to bomb effects with timers so they can only work once. types?
200km effect - Neut, Ecm, Web, Warp scamed.

Supers?Having access to change around a fit and sub modular fit
1) Give us new fighter which you can sub fit them like tech 3!
2) Add more faction type supers?

Carriers?Perfect as can be in space! not much to say about change?
1) Link jumping with support fleet by your side (Frigs - Battleships) say 5 per carrier!
2) Add faction type carriers?

Dreads?Dreads... dreads.... back bone of big damage dealers?
1) Capital Size Smart Bomb....
2) Add faction type dreads?


Removed Following Ideas...
Small drone bay given to supers "1000" m3?
"WHY NOT" Supers were built for damage, so on that word just using a "T3" sub-modular fighters. let us pick and fit them.
Face it no one likes to be stuck in one spot, look at removing the 5 min stuck. (no cloaking or jumping)
"WHY NOT" It seems idea of this is shot down for now. As many points of giving good fights.....
Group-Sega type of weapon which will instantly kill titans-supers-carriers-dreads?
"WHY NOT" Why would you need this if you got group of titans...

Titans? Remove warp drive, alter jump drive so that it can be used at moons only. Optionally spice it up with some RP crap that 'the thing is so huge that can not jump to anything smaller than celestials".
Moms? Same.
Dreads? They are fine, except the Moros being plain better than the others.

Honestly, at one point I supported giving supercarriers a relatively small drone bay, but upon seeing what sentry carriers do when they're fielded, it was pretty obvious that marginalizing carriers in favor of supercarriers that would perform the same role, only with 20 times the EHP and twice the sentry DPS, is a godawful idea.

bomber cant counter this in fleet kill the drones off? I understand fact of them deploying more and more....

Who cares about capitals anyways? They will all be reprocessed for minerals when miners go on strike supposedly.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

You mean like the remote ECM blast that SC's already have?

What? No. Siege/triage is a great way of escalating fights. Otherwise everyone would just align out, and warp/jump at the first sign of trouble. Making people stay put results in more people dieing, which is a good thing.

Especially since IIRC, you can fit drones to a Carrier's drone bay through other carrier's refitting service, so the Drone Bay is effectively equivalent to the Cargo + Fleet Hangar.

That said, I like the idea of Extra-Slow Cat fleets. Can't alpha through them (without Titans), can't break their reps, they're ECM bursting all over the place, can't make them run out of Sentries, can't tackle them effectively (HICs go *poof*), and they're vollying through the dreads trying to kill them. What could possibly be unbalanced with that?

Going off slightly on a tangent, I've noticed that the revenant REALLY sucks. who wants to focus the same damage as a nyx into half the drones? How about something to compensate so people will actually seek out the BPs and make the ship unique. I was thinking a smartbomb bonus, it would also correspond with the lore in the chronicle "uplifted" and would make a nasty ship for anything too small attacking it. Would also go well with the capital smartbomb idea

The bonus for flying the Revenant is that the turd is very, very well polished. And dry, so it doesn't smell so bad.

Also, it's the tank that makes the Revenant pretty worthless. A smartbomb bonus instead of the Drone bonus would probably just wet the turd and make it smell worse.

The Revenant would probably work if it had range bonuses to shield, armor and cap transfers. Apparently, though, CCP thought that people are more than willing to pay 80b to get an extra high slot over a Hel and, uh, 50% faster fighters/FBs, with a Wyvern's RR bonuses. Oh, and the distinction of being rare enough that you'll probably be doomsdayed before anyone else in the fleet.

It was even worse in comparison to the other supercarriers before Crucible, since it could only field 10 drones without the damage bonus which only applied to fighters and fighter bombers.

I would whole heatedly support and endorse the removal of super capital ships from EVE. They have been counterproductive since their inception and were a failed experiment by CCP. Any nerfes or otherwise superfluous changes are a waste of development resources.

Personally I feel that caps and super caps should be the only ships in game that have individually targetable systems (weapons, propulsion, warp drive, etc.).

Furthermore these systems should only be targetable by small sized weapons, and only after the shields have fallen.

Balance should be such that it is often quicker to disable a ship completely (if sufficient small ships concentrate on it) than it is to destroy it out of hand.

Titans should be remade to dedicated mining platforms. Finally all of their pilots would be able to use them in a way they always wanted to.

All supercaps should automatically explode as soon as they undock.
That should solve supercap proliferation.
