I will pay 1 PLEX for 1 round of turkey shoot.

better sell PLEX in packs that tell me you're serious about making money, CCP.

Maybe if they ever grant the guys on the ground to shoot back. We've been experimenting with ground-to-orbit weaponry recently to take out satellites in real life. It would make sense in the future we developed some beefier orbit defense/offense systems.

I would actually like to see them have the ability to build long range anti-spaceship installations in conquered districts that would be capable of significantly damaging ships from several AU away from the planet.

Have you actually seen how huge the blast radius is for the Dust prespective?
You can cutt off a huge part of the map by one orbital bombardment, if you can do them randomly it would be like space gods shooting at you out of nowhere without you being able to return fire and they insta kill you if you are hit.
And it would cutt off half the objects in space, and good luck running because it comes in almost instantly.

Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off."

I would be willing to risk the ridiculously small chance of actually hitting anything. And it would make sense Concord would show up to curb my enthusiastic rain of fire. But dammit, if I want to randomly bombard a planet let me! They can fire back after all.

And why can't dust players build really big guns and scan out EVE players in a system and insta pop there ships?

DUST Players should be able to shoot back effectively against anyone shooting at them.

Being able to shoot at anyone in the system might be a little imbalanced. (Preparing for a fleet fight? Hire both teams of DUSTies and have a ball blapping the enemy's tier3 fleet no matter where they go. Enemy's dropping dreads? Start a DUST fight stacked with your allies on both sides on 3 planets and Alpha through the Dread's siege tank.).

I'm sure it would be a brilliant business decision to make an FPS where you could be suddenly and without warning obliterated by a third party who is not even participating in the battle.

Excellent business decision indeed. I'm sure all the players in that FPS would be thrilled and throwing their money at the developer. I mean, who doesn't like surprise deaths like lagspikes, disconnects and game crashes?

That is a problem.

But I do expect CCP to allow interlopers the ability to fire on DUST battlefields un-invited, and to allow invited parties the ability to fire on the inviting DUST bunnies (as the trailer showed), at some point in the near future. Of course, I also expect CCP to provide ways for prepared DUST bunnies to fire back really effectively (and unprepared DUST bunnies the ability to fire back with some effect, I guess).
Otherwise, I'm going to be annoyed that CCP's introducing instancing into EVE.

Long Range Planet to Moon Railguns, killing your POS. Now that would be fun. Except for the POS owner of course.

If they control the ground, they should be able to deny access to locations within a certain distance of the planet via searing plasma/antimatter.

They build gun complexes. They shoot at us, and we can shoot back. They build up the guns and we pound them down without the need for boots on the ground. At that point, we're not aiming to capture the gun batteries. We're aiming to annihilate them.

You guys need to chill. CCP will never allow you to fire at DUST players without their "consent". At least not until DUST is ported to PC and attached to EVE accounts. The PS3 players don't have and will not suffer the HTFU mentality. They will rather ditch the game (which is free to boot) and move to the next game.

Mark my words.

You're very simple minded person.

Because your response took more thought than my post?

It really doesn't take much thought to complain about things you feel like you're entitled to.

Pot.Kettle.Black.

That would only apply if I was complaining.

Welcome to EVE ONLINE. It's a MultiPlayerGame !

Has it occured to you, that you share this game with thousands of others ?
No ? I thought so.

If *you* could do it, *everybody else* could do it.

If *everybody* can do it, there'd be no DUST players left to do anything !

As the last star in EVE went nova taking out everything in the system the pilots realised there were no stations left to practice their leet ship-spinning skills in.

And then EVE2 was released.

See? Even the -10 lowsec pirate that shoots almost everything at sight realizes this fact.

You can bet CCP also does.

+1 to OP

I too would enjoy randomly bombarding planets.

I saw a dust bunny in chat yesterday and couldn't think of a single way to ruin his day, and that is just wrong.Evil
