It's funny, even though the carebears are raging login numbers are pretty stable/going up. Might be an indication of something, eh?

While I suspect there are a lot of alt accounts, I think most would be signed in already. You would really need a lot of older players to return to smash that record. So try and get your friends back into the game, buy them a PLEX and let them use it under that "Plex for time" option that lets them log in for a few hours to buy/activate a plex. [If that is still a option]

Also being a carebear, I would add that I enjoy this expansion, brings a bit of spice into my side of the sandbox.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

if you think that alts didn't have an impact on previous records, you're clearly mistaken.

you do raise a good point though. the "players" connected should be unique IPs

i would be very interested in the actual number of unique users

Museum, player created content, exhibited.

Not being a nay sayer, just that if you're refering to activety over the past few days, it may have something to do with a future exhibit for EVE in The Museum of Modern Art.

I tend to agree with this, I rather see an increase in subscriptions with real dudes/dudettes behind their screen than log in the gazillions alts for fluff and funky stuff.

We're still seeing the higher numbers Vaerah mentioned in sarcasm.

I fail to see why logging in alts as a show of support and appreciation to CCP is a problem.

Chances are that if everyone logged in at the same time with all their alts, CCP's servers would melt very fast. I doubt they're able to handle more than 60k playersat any time.

The peak has passed, and we're sloping down, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that it would rise again today. I have not watched the metrics for a LONG time.
