Mass login to break peak user record: We try again dec 22nd and 23rd, 18:00-20:00

What about groups of players all playing on a single internet connection? Housemates, LAN parties, Cafes, etc.

The thing is, the previous login record was set during an alliance tournament when CCP called for a mass login at the peak of Eve's popularity.

Eve has been bleeding subscribers since the summer of rage and shows no indication of that trend turning around.

THere just aren't enough eve players left to go for the record. Sorry.

Good, so now i know exactly the time i must NOT login, my main and one alt i have. I don't want to login and seem like i aggree with all the things going on, in this SillyShoting Online game, as it has become lately. Congratulations for making it a kids playground.

I didn't realise the record was 63k until I read it in this thread. Can't see it happening at this point in time tbh. Best of luck though.

1000 different dudes are 10000000²% far more interesting to have on the long run, be it for the company, be it for the community

Seems I have a different opinion and I'm actually quite proud of it. I'm not interested by fluff but by real stuff, if Eve becomes or is all about fluff then I'm loosing my time and I should rather give my money to blizzard or to the bar close. I hate the feeling of having my opinion being manipulated by useless nerds just good to play with numbers they don't even agree in between themselves.

Alts are the true cancer of EVE, and the very attitude makes any record meaningless..
The game needs more players, not more alts.......

If the current micro-trend continues, we'll see about 51.5k logged in tonight.

I don't know if there has been a single PCU record that hasn't been recorded on a Sunday. The last records have all been combinations of naturally high populations (Sundays) + the last day of some event such as an alliance tournament (also Sundays). So trying to scramble people to log in on a day when the natural tide of players goes against that effort is probably a bit wasteful.

Pish. Records are set with afk alts. Does stretch the "U" bit of the acronym, but that's pretty overrated anyway.
