I understand the scroll wheel thing is rather trivial, but no so much for those of us that do science and industry full time, as well as have to update hundreds of market orders on a regular basis.

Do you guys intend to fix it so that I don't have to have the mouse cursor over the input field in order to increase or decrease the number in it with the scroll wheel?

I mean, Eurogamer just published an article about the future of EVE, and Soundwave stated that the point was that you guys want to remove the neededless complexity in the UI; yet, you added one to it with retribution.

I'd be nice to know if it's going to stay the way it is now or if you intend to correct it.

We agree that using the input fields to change values with the scroll wheel is harder after our change to scroll bar functionality. We are releasing a patch today that will address it as follows:

In the case of windows like the Market order window, the focus will be on the input field that is selected by default, and as long as the user has his mouse inside the window itself he can use the scroll wheel to change the value.

This means you don't have to move the mouse inside the input field itself anymore, just inside the window and you don't need to click the input field because the field is already in focus.

If there are more than one input fields in the window, you will need to select the input field you want to modify if it is not the default one and therefore not in focus when you first open the window. Once the input field you want to modify is in focus you can use the scroll wheel while the mouse is within the window itself.

This will make the area you can use for the input field of choice much larger and should eliminate the issue players are having with this specific use case.

Thank you.

I just hopped in this morning and saw it's been fixed. My nerves are rejoicing.

You guys are doing a fantastic job shoring up little issues with the expansion, it's very much appreciated.

The popup information tip when you hover the mouse over your stripminer shows incorrect m3/cycle

My test was 2 hulks and a covetor
All 3 were mining Bistot
All 3 have T2 mining laser upgrades
the best hulk has T2 strip miners with t1 bistot crystals and the rest are using T1 strip miners

Covetor mines 249 Bistot per cycle of 3 strip miners (low skill miner)
Tooltip shows 1328 m3/cycle/strip miner

Hulk2 mines 276 Bistot per cycle of 3 strip miners (lesser skilled pilot with T1 strip miners)
Tooltip shows 1485 m3/cycle/strip miner

Hulk1 mines 309 Bistot per cycle of 3 strip miners (High skill miner)
Tooltip shows 1016 m3/cycle/strip miner

All tooltips shows 2 minutes 10 seconds on cycle time.

So something doesnt add up.
The best skilled pilot shows having the lowest m3/cycle and the rest is just a mess.
The fact that the ships get more but show less should be information enough that something is not working properly.

Also Fleet boost modules activated or not has no impact on the tooltip.

I can confirmed this, also when multi client the jump sound for wormholes doesn't always play. Very troublesome glitch they have for us wormhole people.

I'd like to point out that the loss of the jukebox is really, really irritating. In-game i'd like control over which music plays when & where.

What is it with CCP REMOVING features that were great? ... Like automated ship spinning & now the juke box?! :/

EVE has sound?

--

Ok seriously though, mute in game sound, open this. Fix'd.

That's a kludge fix for a CCP MISTAKE :/

I actually enjoy the sound of space, ships, guns/missiles/drones, in conjunction with music i choose, in the order i select it within the client. A valuable feature and aspect of the game that existed yet was incredulously stripped away.

None of the character tags seem to be displaying properly. All I see are little black boxes next to most of the ships in space and in the overview. Some are flashing and some aren’t, but none have any type of icon. They’re just black.

I guess it could be an issue with the order of my list, but they shouldn’t be just black with no icon. Anyone else seeing this, or have suggestions?

Today’s patch:
The change to the cursor location for using the scroll wheel is great!! It’s much easier to update orders now.

Thank you, CCP Arrow. That works very nicely for the market modify-order window.

CCP.... Things to do:

1. Reduce the size of the pizza’s around the target. Why the hell did you make them so large ? There is absolutely no need for the damage bars to be displayed there, that’s what your locked target icons are for. Or better still, give an option to remove it. Oh wait, cancel that as CCP don’t give options.
2. Fix all the sound issues. I won’t list them here, they have been mentioned so many times.
3. Make the Security rating you have chosen persistent. Why the hell would we want to have to reset it every time we log in.
4. Make the Neocom remember the buttons you have added/removed, and their positions.
5. Reimburse lost skill points for those who Jump Cloned after the patch and their skill queue increased.

Through 40+ pages of threads there have been several complaints on the fact that the salvage drones are effectively worthless because they only salvage one wreck, and that the "engage" hotkey does not work.

Yet, zero responses from dev's.

What's the point of an "issues" thread if the issues aren't being read, recognized and responded to?

*dink dink dink* Wake up, guys.

L.S.

Was wondering if anyone else experienced jumpclone issues.
Wednesday right after patch I jumped from a JC with a set of standard learning implants into
another clone with the exact same set of standard learning implants.

My skill que went up from 8 ish to 10 ish days.
Needless to say i was not amused.

Ofcourse I filed a petition.
Also, clearning cache file did not resolve this issue.

I tried my salvager drones on multiple characters/ships. They will only salvage the first wreck I tell them to and then return instead of continuing to salvage all wrecks in range.

having issues with the character sheet occasionally going blank. Docking/ undocking did not fix it, not able to see kill rights, skills etc...
Restarting client seemed to work.

Same issue only I went from a clone without implants to one with, patch notes say the bug was fixed in 1.0.2 so I felt secure enough to clone jump after down time to get some books only to find the issue hasn't been resolved.

My only real concern pre-expansion was the new rule allowing bounties to be placed on anyone regardless of security status. My concern was mixed however as too many pilots hide behind corpmate's, or second account, disposable alts to comit crimes and or enable suspect situations where the intended victim feels relatively safe in retaliating only to have the true criminal in sheeps clothing warp in and lay waste to them. It seemed that while i would have preferred that the real culprits of these crimes receive the security status hit, this would at least allow some retribution against these types of pikots.

On the other hand I worried that too many "I hate what you said in chat" bounties would become prevelant. While, to the seasoned player, it was/is obvious that the bounty did not make them an "open" target of opportunity for anyone anytime, too many people are unsure/confused about this. It is creating an obnoxiuos amount of erroneous lockups and msstaken attacks against pilots who for no other reason than expressing their opinion are receiving bounties.

It is my opinion that the minimum amount for the bounty is too low and should have been left where it was originally going to be, or perhaps even higher in order to discourage this frivilous type of abuse of the new bounty system.

just my $.02

We are investigating into this. The skill effects in some circumstances from a jump via jump clone are not applied correctly. The solution is to simply log off and then back into the game. The skill effects will be correct on logging back in.
