EVE Online: Retribution 1.0 Issues

After the patch ESET Smart Securty 5.2 Firewall detects

Communication denied by rule MY IP:56335 ( Target ) 239.255.255.250:1900 UDP Block outgoing SSDP (UPNP) requests for svchost.exe C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE


When i enter the login screen. The status is "Checking Status" Everything seems to work after i disable the firewall.
There is no rule that was not there before the patch. Also setting the FW in interactive mode solved nothing. I was not prompted to allow the application.

NVM! Fixed by reinstalling ESET.

Simple request:

Can we please have something other than a white cross to add bounties?

I'm sure one of the art team can come up with something that stands out as "Add Bounty" rather than generic plus sign - even if it's just a skull behind it and the + only taking up a quarter of the icon.

thank you ... its just nice to know this has been noted and is being looked into, rather than not knowing if this is how things are now and some lvl4's are just incredibly tough.

I understand the scroll wheel thing is rather trivial, but no so much for those of us that do science and industry full time, as well as have to update hundreds of market orders on a regular basis.

Do you guys intend to fix it so that I don't have to have the mouse cursor over the input field in order to increase or decrease the number in it with the scroll wheel?


I mean, Eurogamer just published an article about the future of EVE, and Soundwave stated that the point was that you guys want to remove the neededless complexity in the UI; yet, you added one to it with retribution.

I'd be nice to know if it's going to stay the way it is now or if you intend to correct it.

Overview bug

One of the ships in my fleet disappeared from my overview yesterday. It's just the case with one character, but the issue is still present under the recent 1.0.1 patch.

I just jc'ed from HS, and when I restarted my training, it went from needing 2 days 1 hour to complete the destroyers skill, to 2 days 12 hours. I put a different skill in, worked fine.....put the destroyers skill back, hit apply and it went back to 2 days 1 hour left to complete.

For you trolls, yes I have the same implants in. It just glitched.

the new KI seems to trigger proximity aggro even if it didn't aggro before patch.

this is especially deadly in the lvl4 mission Vengeance - entire Pocket is at 10-30k range and instant-aggros, leading to extrem dmg while before patch groups could be aggroed one by one.

I've posted this before but the post somehow seems to have been lost:

1) The restrictred size of the new corp hangars is not suitable for large scale production efforts. Only 1,000 per corp hangar is just not cutting it when you are trying to adjust your production needs to a rapidly changing market. Can we have the old large size corp hangars back? One of my hangars has 17,000 items in it and working through it is a nightmare.

2) Containers in hangars cannot be renamed anymore. This makes the whole reorganization effort even more difficult.

So what happened to the bug fixes promised months back? Rumour was it would be fixed in this update.******* lies.UI is still annoying,slow and containing useless information.More stupid sounds,all of which are too loud.Are they designed by tone deaf hard of hearing hamsters?
Only thing Ive liked so far is my Mega and even that is a bit too dark.It does shine more.Sadly its pretty crap in missions now.

Hangars in POS do not remember their last opened division;
they always open the default hangar regardless what you selected yourself. I hope this is not as intended now

The issue is not limited to POS in wh space alone; also in regular space this is happening.

I have just returned after a 4 year hiatus, and just discovered the Jukebox. It was awesome! Now it is GONE. Bad move as far as I am concerned. Bring it back!
